Tricked by a Slice of Ham

Today, mum made a special 5.15 appointment for me to go and get my jabs. She started looking for me at 3pm. She thought she might have to cancel again.

She got my dish and knife out, I wouldn't come in. I meowed at the sight of the fancy feast, but I wouldn't come near her.
Finally she remembered she had some ham in the fridge, and the wrinkle of the deli bag enticed me to my plate, where she did a grab and push into the PTU.
Jabs completed, vet test passed - thanks Natalie!! Now I have been under the house for two hours, and mum hasn't seen me. That will teach her.

  11. Oh, Poppy, I know it's not fun, but take heart that it's just a once-a-year ordeal. My Annie is hyper-t and right now she goes every few week for blood work--and believe me, she is TERRIFIED at the vet clinic! Once a year, or even a few times a year, doesn't seem so bad--it's all a matter of perspective.

Purrs and kitty kisses, Poppy, and I hope you have forgiven your mum.

  19. Your Mom knows your vulnerability for ham. Hopefully you can stay away from the vet till next year at least. Sometimes those jabs last more than a year even.
