Today, mum made a special 5.15 appointment for me to go and get my jabs. She started looking for me at 3pm. She thought she might have to cancel again.
She got my dish and knife out, I wouldn't come in. I meowed at the sight of the fancy feast, but I wouldn't come near her.
Finally she remembered she had some ham in the fridge, and the wrinkle of the deli bag enticed me to my plate, where she did a grab and push into the PTU.
Jabs completed, vet test passed - thanks Natalie!! Now I have been under the house for two hours, and mum hasn't seen me. That will teach her.
I bet it was still worth it for some delicious ham!! Patsy comes running too when she hears the crinkle of anything!!!
ReplyDeleteJabs are alful! I am scared of the vet too!
ReplyDeleteI always get suckered in by Temptations
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to say no to ham!
ReplyDeleteThe ham gets you every time!! Glad your vet visit is over and you are okay!
ReplyDeleteIt's for your own good, Pops. It was a nice attempt at avoiding it, though:)
ReplyDeleteIt is so cool that your mum got to see Prince William!
You are a brave girl and these delicious food look a dream...delicious dream!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it!

Oh yes, HAM! It truly is the only thing that will get me to come to #1 even if I really don't want to...
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Sei-Chan
Damn that tasty ham! I'm sorry you got jabbed Poppy.
ReplyDeleteThat was very sneaky, luring you with ham.
ReplyDeleteTricked by ham! We'll at least you got that over with for another year!
ReplyDeleteOh, Poppy, I know it's not fun, but take heart that it's just a once-a-year ordeal. My Annie is hyper-t and right now she goes every few week for blood work--and believe me, she is TERRIFIED at the vet clinic! Once a year, or even a few times a year, doesn't seem so bad--it's all a matter of perspective.
ReplyDeletePurrs and kitty kisses, Poppy, and I hope you have forgiven your mum.
Drat that ham! However, the ordeal is over. Had you Mum been able to find you.... :)
ReplyDeleteWe cats do not like to go anywhere near diz big load machines dat bring us to da stabby place. A good hiding owt for a few hours is da way to get em huh?
ReplyDeleteWhat a dirty trick! We hopes you got some ham after all that.
ReplyDeleteI would have fallen for the trick too...
ReplyDeletePoppy ham is too tough to resist. Glad that your visit is over now though and you are deemed healthy!
ReplyDeleteYep, the ham usually works...but the pain is over...you can forgive her now!
ReplyDeleteWe know you don't like trips to the vet, but we have to go. Don't hide from Mom!
ReplyDeleteDamn ham does it every time.
ReplyDeleteYour Mom knows your vulnerability for ham. Hopefully you can stay away from the vet till next year at least. Sometimes those jabs last more than a year even.
ReplyDeleteNot fair! Mums know ham will do it everytime! Glad you got a good report. Your garden is looking very beautiful. We can't wait for spring...long way off though.
ReplyDeleteBut did you get any HAM when you got home? Glad the jabs are over Poppy, xoxo.
ReplyDeleteMan... that should be wrong to use ham like that... it is way too good.
ReplyDeleteWe love ham, too, Poppy, so we probably would've fallen for that trick right along with you. We are glad you got a clean bill of health. :)
ReplyDeleteOh no. Ham is my weakness too. Sorry about the jabs.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Lucy
Beautiful picture...Glad the vet visit turned out well--aren't you glad that's over??!!...You have a pretty smart Mom!
ReplyDeleteJasmine has a place that no one can reash. We had to pull the dresser away from the wall ... wasn't easy to do at all ..
ReplyDeleteUnder the house ... that's a good one
Poppy that is too bad you had to go to the vet but at least it is over with now!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry Poppy. We all forgive you for your weakness. It's understandable A tempting deli bag is hard to resist!
ReplyDeleteWe would come for ham, too!
ReplyDeleteHam... it's a dangerous (and wonderful) thing!
ReplyDeleteWe're glad everything went well at the vet.
P.s. Maybe if you stay under the house for a bit longer your mum will give you more ham...
We gots to get some of that deli ham, we just gots to!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm glad you passed your test!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't make up for going to the vet, though.
ReplyDeletecindy
What is it with January and Vet visits? I hated mine too....
ReplyDeleteThat was a cruel trick...
ReplyDeleteDid she at least give you the slice of ham?
