Friday Nighting

Friday is finally here although mum has to work of course.  The weather has been rainy and stormy again, although other cities have had it much worse than us.  Mums work day was good and went fast, which is the best kind of day.

She went supermarketing after work in order to buy one thing.  She spent  $59 and came home with two bags to lug up the hill.  She didn't take a photo of her dinner but she made a winter mash and did some nice chicken legs.  She marinated 7 of them with two tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of cumin and a dash of pepper.   Squished around in an oven bag and roasted for about 45 minutes they were quick and yummy.  Best of all there are plenty of leftovers for weekend meals.

So now she is getting some chores done while watching a couple of shows.  An average Friday night at our place.

  2. Poppy, dear, I've gone into the store to buy coffee cream and emerged carrying two bags -- but no cream. One really needs a list!

  3. Do you like chicken Poppy? Perhaps plain without the yummy seasoning. Mum is such a clever organiser. So pleased she had a quick day at work. I wonder if she watches The Midwife. I enjoy it but fell asleep and missed it. Will now find a film on my iPad. I think I will watch Wide eyed and leg less with Julie Walters. I have seen it before and enjoyed it though it is sad it has humor through it as well. The weather here has calmed down thankgoodness. Hope you are both having the weekend off. I think mum might say "What is a weekend?'

  6. The chicken sounds so delicious! I've got to get some cumin. I'm a bad cook though.
