Quake Shakes

Oh man our country is rocking around tonight. We are fine, just a bit jittery.   This is the Biggest shake mum has ever felt, and luckily there was a bit of a rumble first.  I was sitting next to her and she got us to the door to shelter under the doorway.  It almost moved her off her feet.  Just a few non breakable things fell off shelves, but mum is good and doesn't have much that is unsecured.

We have had shakes following every few minutes and mum does not think she will get much sleep tonight.

The epicentre was near Christchurch where there were big quakes a few years ago, so we hope everyone is ok there.

Thanks for thinking of us.

Love
Julie and Poppy Q

  1. Poppy, dear, it's good you and mum were together when the quake shook your home. Perhaps you should stay safe inside for a day or two, so mum doesn't have to look for you under a bush if it happens again?

  14. SO glad you checked in and are okay! My human and I woke up to this news a little while ago and we hunted down the friends we have in NZ on Facebook and blogs to make sure they were all right. Everyone is shaken up, but nobody we know is hurt.
