Sleep In

Somehow mum knocked her phone last night while fiddling with it, and managed to knock off her alarm clock.  So instead of rising at 6:40am she was luckily awoken by the bird song and sunlight at 7:15am.  So there was a mad scramble for a quick shower and get dressed and ran off to work, dropping the rubbish bags down for collection, leaving her lunch behind.

Lucky for me I gets to sleep in every day and have no rush to be anywhere!!!  So tonight us girls are chilling.  Mum has to be on call in a couple of hours, so she will have a quiet night doing exciting things like paying the bills and reading her book.  Woo hoo for middle aged lady fun!!

  2. Yes, Poppy, dear, my feline family does give me the grumpy kitty look when I sleep in, then jump up and throw the covers aside (on them).

  4. Your mum should have a reserve alarm-clock. I had one but when it went off it scared the crap out of the cats. No more mechanical clock.

  6. Oh dear, mum had a radio music clock to wake her in the AM when she worked. It could be set for all weekdays and would just come back on each day. We cats couldn't turn it off.
