We have decided to call our friend Bertie. Bertie lives near out backyard, and he calls all the other blackbirds to the yard when mum puts the bread and fruit out for the birds.
Bertie is looking forward to the warmer weather too, especially as he doesn't have a big warm bed to sleep on like me.
Mum is off having fun today, and I am watching the washing dry - hooray!!
Bertie looks like a tasty meal. Heh heh. Hey, you can look forward to baby blackbirds! Mmm, snack time! :-DReplyDelete
Gee, Poppy, have "fun" watching that laundry dry! LOL.
How does that song go..."four and twenty blackbirds, baked in a pie".ReplyDelete
Now we know what a blackbird is. YUM.
Mommy hopes he raises a nestful of babies this Spring!
At least you can watch Bertie if the laundry gets boring. Have a great weekend PoppyQ!ReplyDelete
We think Bertie is sort of cute! Aren't birds fun to watch, Poppy?ReplyDelete
A look out birdie. How fun is that. It's nice that you are worried about him. Stay warm and have a great weekend.ReplyDelete
You've got a cute new friend, Poppy, we love our Bird TV...xo...Calle, Halle, SukkiReplyDelete
Bertie is certainly a bootiful bird. We don't has any blackbirds in our neighborhood - we has some birdies that are black, but they are called Crackles - they are kind of nasty birds.ReplyDelete
It's almost like having your own pet!ReplyDelete

My Mr Blackbird is liking the raisins we put out for him at the moment.ReplyDelete
You know..Bertie is actually very soft and elegant looking. Now..try not to snack on him or her. :-) Mommy loves birds and feeds them too. I watch them very close every day! One day maybe I will taste one..if only mommy would let me OUT!ReplyDelete
