We have decided to call our friend Bertie. Bertie lives near out backyard, and he calls all the other blackbirds to the yard when mum puts the bread and fruit out for the birds.
Bertie is looking forward to the warmer weather too, especially as he doesn't have a big warm bed to sleep on like me.
I hope he has a warm feathery nest to sleep in, and a Mrs Blackbird to snuggle up to.
Mum is off having fun today, and I am watching the washing dry - hooray!!

ReplyDeleteBertie is certainly a bootiful bird. We don't has any blackbirds in our neighborhood - we has some birdies that are black, but they are called Crackles - they are kind of nasty birds.

ReplyDeletei love blackbirds, they sing so heartbreakingly beautiful and are so pretty to look at. we had some of them here during the freezing winter, they got lots of food and i hope they survuved the more than harsh weather conditions. i wonder why they didn't flew south...?

You know..Bertie is actually very soft and elegant looking. Now..try not to snack on him or her. :-) Mommy loves birds and feeds them too. I watch them very close every day! One day maybe I will taste one..if only mommy would let me OUT!
