I got outside for a wee bit today to stretch my old legs. It was overcast with a few glimpses of blue sky. Mum got a reminder today that I sm due for my arthritis injection today, but she is unsure whether she will continue them. She really doesn't know if they make much difference to my life, but we guess it is a good chance to see the vet and have a quick check up.

Neighborhood flowers on mum's way home tonight. She's feeling tired tonight and was glad that she had leftovers already for dinner, and I got my feast as soon as she walked through the doors. Lunch is made for tomorrow, chicken and tomato rolls, a biscuit and some strawberries.
The skies have been full of clouds and more rain is forecast, although no flooding in our city. Mum was hoping for clear skies to see the green comet, so fingers crossed. Still we feel for Auckland and the Northern parts of New Zealand that have been flooded with heavy rain, and are due for another bout in yhe next few days.

Mum has slept poorly this weekend, it takes her body some time to reset after nightshift, so she goes with the flow. So as she set the alarm, she did notice her phone was on 38%. Of course her phone ran out and no alarm at 9am, and she woke up at 11am.
She dashed to the shower, got dressed snd ate breakfast. It was foggy and she wanted to go to the movies to see The Lost King. Feeling rushed, mum called an uber and got there in time to order a quick lunch. Wnen she got to buy her ticket she found out that the show was at 12.45pm and not 1.25 as she thought and had already started.
So mum ate lunch, went into town for a walk then got some chicken for dinner to make a thsi green curry. Bonus, she got home earlier to spend time with me.

There were beautiful flowers at the market entrance this morning. Mum can't afford flowers but she enjoys the pictures. She did buy some Vietnamese wraps and orange juice as her lunch and it was delicious. She came home and talked to me, sat in the sun, took a nap then came to work.

Mums 12 day work stretch finished this morning, and she celebrated by going to the hairdresser, read some magazines at the library, met some friends for lunch, wandered round the garden center, had an ice block in the sun, took a wee nap, had a tiny steak and coleslaw for dinner, lit some candles, watched some shows, danced to music and best of all talked to me.

The evening sunset looked nice, it rained 5 minutes after mum took these photos. Weve got the tail end of a cyclone reaching us tomorrow. So instead of a walk tomorrow morning she will do the recycling, and ckean out some of the wardrobe. Oh and read her book and talk to me. Perfect.

The evening was warm and light, the nicest we have had in days. Mum joined me outside for my evening patrol, where I sit and watch the neighbors and lookout for intruders. I used to soend ages outside, but as I've got older a half hour or so is enough. I came inside and had some dinner, and have tucked myself back to sleep.

The weeds are growing higher, we think it has been 4 weeks since our mower man came last. The rain and sunshine has made everything grow again. He is slightly elusive and is having a summer break, but we hope he is back soon. I enjoy it - lots of tasty grass to eat.

A good day is one where mum sees flowers, sometimes in gardens on the way home and in the garden center like yesterday. Rain has been forecast, so mum git her pile of library books stocked up and got some groceries. It's rained off and on today, so it was an easy day. Mums not sure if I like having her home with me, or I'm annoyed that she disrupts my long sleep.
