Mum had a burst of energy this evening snd pulled some weeds, cooked dinner and put some washing out. Of course now it has started raining, but she figures even though her clothes will be wet on the line, it is meant to clear by the afternoon and fingers crossed, they will be dry when she gets home from work tomorrow.
Me - I've been quiet, no bursts of energy from me.

Mum was taking a break from cooking her dinner tonight, when she went to the bedroom to pick something up, when she saw me sprint across the back garden, and she realized i was being chased - by a dog!! I took off and jumped through the garden, the fastest she has ever seen me move.
Well the upstairs neighbor came down and picked up her dog. She introduced herself but mums heart was beating so fast, she instantly forgot their names.
Mum came in and turned off the dinner, and went out searching for me, she even went to the flats behind our house to see if I had escaped into their garden, but no answer. 10 minutes later I just wandered in like nothing happened. So tonight we'll both sleep well after that little blast of adrenaline .

My 23 hour Caturday nap was disturbed today. There was a loud outdoor party at the local park that was very noisy with lots of peopleand bands playing. Mum was glad that it was windy and the party went from 11am-7pm only. She was thrilled that she was on night shift last weekend, and her sleep was not interrupted today.

Mum has thought for years that she should get some solar lights to put in the garden for senior me. Shes been charging them in the sunlight and has noticed that they are working overnight.
So, now she has to pull some weeds out andfind a spot to put them, so i can see in the dark. These ones were cheap at $2 each, but she broke one straight away. She might have another look at the garden center tomorrow.

She liked the new hairdresser who listened and did a great cut, washed, cut and dried in 40 minutes. She liked the massage chair while her head was washed, the price was 1/2 her old salon charged. Not a fan of the passive aggressive products placed in front of you. So a success.

Mum finished her nightshifts this morning. The morning wasn't looking too bad, and she got her groceries and walked home, a but tired after the last uphill part. After breakfast and a chat with me she climbed into bed for a few hours. Up at lunchtime, it was now raining and a bit windy. Mum took herself off to the library and off to get some new foundation makeup. She bought some last week and got home and put it on realizing that she bought the wrong shade - how annoying, and expensive.
Chilli nachos for her dinner, and a chicken fancy feast for me, and with full bellies us girls took another nap. Now mum is catching up on some shows, but she feels tired and hopes she can adjust back to the normal sleep pattern. I'll help her.

I was a good girl today and didn't pester mum until 1pm, when i wanted her to wake up. The first sleep after starting nightshift is the hardest for her and she needed another sleep in the afternoon. While she was tempted to go for a walk in the sun, she wasted a few hours in her dressing gown on the couch.

Mum had a lovely day off. She slept in, then hoovered and did some washing then relaxed and had noodles on the couch. She talked to me and gave me a good brush and then rewarded me for being patient by giving me a new toy.
After lunch, mum went to the garden center which was looking lovely. Mum then took herself to the movies to see The Wonder, which she had to say was a bit slow. She read the book when it came out, but only remembered a bit of the story.
Home to make homemade chicken/lettuce/tomato sandwiches for dinner. The temperature has dropped to 11 deg C, so the heater is back on. Life is good.

Mum is enjoying this run of morning shifts, although she is not so thrilled when the alarm rings early. She takes the time to admire the sunshine and listen to a podcast on her walk to work. Lunch was a chicken salad sandwich and an orange. Plans for an early night have been abandoned as there is to be a total lunar eclipse with a blood moon tonight round midnight, and mum may try and see it as the skies remain clear.
I'll stay snoozing mum.

She liked these purple gladioli that have just started flowering this week.

Mum threw out the towel on my heated cat bed this weekend and replaced it with a bathmat, and now its my new napping spot.
Mum worked today and then walked home, a nap was needed as young people in the neighborhood were noisy last night. It's all quiet here tonight though but mums eyes feel itch ready for rest. I know how you feel mum - I'm tired too.

Mum had a nice sleep in, a nice walk in the sun, a nice day at work, a nice visit to the supermarket, a nice uber driver on the way home, a nice pile of treats to nibble on the couch when she got home, a nice chat to me, a nice big spot is brewing on her chin and she has a nice book to read now as she heads to bed.
Isn't it exciting news today that there may be a vaccine to treat breast cancer. Thank goodness there are such clever scientists working on these cures.
