Hello Week

Well it is the beginning of another week.  Mum often has a restless nights sleep on Sunday, even after all the walking and fresh air she took in on Sunday.  She tossed and turned all night it seems, and she was disappointed to wake up at 7am with the alarm clock beeping away.  Always annoying when she is on call tonight, and could have used a good nights sleep.  She wishes she could nap the day away like me.

Work was busy and another late night as Mum stayed to do a couple of jobs.  So it was dark when she got home and I was hanging out for my feast.  I gobbled it up and then headed back to bed for a snooze.

Mum laughs at this photo, it shows the spot when she likes to plant a sly kiss on my head when I am snoozing, as I am not really the cuddly kind of cat.  Although I do like to snuggle sometimes (but don't tell anyone).

Hello Week

Aww it is Monday already and the beginning of another week.  Mum almost was tempted to sleep in with me when the alarm went off for her at 6:45am.  She said that she felt tired all day, and as it was a bit quiet it was a long day.  Off to the supermarket after work for some essentials.  She has lamb with kumara (sweet potatoes) roasting in the oven for dinner.  Leftover mash and some peas will make it a good dinner that will last a couple of nights.

Now that the real winter has arrived I have been snuggling close to mum all night, lying right by her side.  Hope you all have sumbuddy to snuggle up with.

Hello Week

Hello week - we are glad that you have started well.  Mum went and had a good day at work.  She then had a bit of retail therapy at the supermarket - mum is glad that the walk home is uphill.  It makes her feel better if not a bit worn out when she gets home.

Tonights dinner was leftovers.  A steak and veg like last night but with fresh sweetcorn - yum.  We hope you don't mind us talking about our dinner, but it helps inspire mum too.  She always cooks from scratch, cooks quickly and often just uses one pot and simple ingredients.  Mum isn't likely to buy any truffles, caviar or saffron.

When mum got home she let a flea bomb off, and is now airing out the bedroom.  Much as she doesn't like the thought of insecticide, she doesn't like the bites she has had the past week.  She also has mowed the lawn, washed the windows in the lounge and done a bit of weeding.  She is going to put the washing away and then settle down to watch some tele.

Hello Week

Monday again - boy they come round quick. The view out of our front door is actually down the side of the house, and looks at the neighbours fence. Because it is a little bit private, we often open the door in the evening, as we would hear anybody walking around outside.
