Weekend

The weekend has begun for us, although mum is on call so not much rest for her.  She has a treat day out tomorrow with a friend so she hopes to get some sleep.  Luckily I can show her how as I am an expert in that field.

Sunday

This was me this morning, we are lucky to have some warm suns still.  We have a big hill behind our house, so the sun disapears about 3pm and it starts to get chilly, but we are lucky to be having such nice autumn sunshine.

Mum went to the local market today and stocked up on fresh fruits and veg, which are so pretty and colorful.  Mmmm lots of nice lunches for her week ahead, and she bought some fresh ruhbarb and made a ruhbarb and strawberry yogurt cake for pudding.

She was influenced by Miss M and her mom Lynne, who did a clean up and got rid of fifty things.  Mum did a quick wardrobe cull and got two bags of stuff to go to the charity shop, and a rubbish bag of stuff to be thrown out.

A good weekend for us both!!

Friday

Friday night and the house is buzzing.  The washing machine is humming along, and mum has got groceries and is making a cake and some yummies for brunch tomorrow.  She wants to know how come I don't want any smoked salmon, but I licked the cake bowl, which has pineapple, banana and coconut in it?

Weekend

The weekend is starting here in NZ and mum says it will be a quiet one for her as she is recovering from this bug.  The Rugby World Cup has begun, and mum is meant to be going to a match on Sunday, but is not sure if her germs will let her go out of the house yet, as she doesn't want to cough and splutter over anybody.

This morning, mum found me out by the gate.  Can you see me?  Look closely.  Want to see where I went to on my Saturday morning?  Pop on by tomorrow, and we will show you where I went explorin.

Mum had fun on Saturday. She met her besties for the movies, they saw Robin Hood, and even though there was lots of fighting, Mum liked Russell Crowe when he has a haircut and wears tunics and tights. Then there was gormet pizza and laughs. Because mum is middle aged, a spot of grocery shopping was done and she was home with me by 9pm.

So we had time making the bed, to stop and have a photo session. Mum found teddy down the back of the bed, and got him posed with me. Then before you know it, it's Sunday again.

Mum had all kinds of plans, but none of them included lots of rain. Rain makes us lazy, so she and I had a sleep in, and mum has managed to waste the day away with a good book, internet time and cooking a nice tea. All good things for mums sore back.

Weekend

The weather has turned chilly again, so I have resumed my spot on the pillows in the spare room. Mum says we will have visitors later in the week, so she will have to wash all the sheets and cases, so enjoy it while I can. We worry about getting them washed and dried as our forcast is for rain til at least Wednesday.

Some of our country, especially the farms up North have been having a drought, but here in Wellington, it has rained every weekend since November.

Weekend

Today is the weekend, but my mum had to go to work. She still managed to get some washing done, and the dishes. Ohhhhhhhhh and my fave thing, changing the sheets, and then the duvets. Duvets are hard work, but mum loves to climb under the clean bedding on a Saturday night.

Mum did a few big photo shoots during the week, so if you see lots of photos that look like they were taken on the same day, they probably were. Mum says this one shows my happy tail. It is hard for her to get a picture of me looking at the flashy box, as I likes to look away from it, as it is sooo annoying. That is why she reckons she has to take lots of snapshots.

Mum has a big assignment due at the end of the week, so she is busy trying to get that done.

Cold in the City

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr it is awfully chilly here today! However we know that most people are curled up inside by the heater, reading their Harry Potter books.

I spent the day snoozing, scratching my scatching pole, scratching the couch (don't tell mum!) and snoozing.
