Cat Vs Wild

Get yourself a tall mum or dad, so that they can throw the torn up bread on the roof, not a shorty like my mum who lets lots fall on the ground.

Wait for the birdies to come.

You may need a hidey hole, like my garden weeds.

Can you see me hiding there?
I hope this little instructional post of outdoor survival skills is helpful for my indoor buddies.
PS - no birdies were harmed in the making of this post. Alas, one loaf of bread had to be sacrificed.

  1. hahaha! one loaf of bread sacraficed? Great hiding, Poppy Q! Those birdies will never see you!

Mom tosses many loaves daily for the geese and hundreds of birdies. It started off as a few slices 3 years ago, then all the birdies told some friends, who told some friends, who told...

  2. It's a shame a whole loaf of bread was sacrificed but those are the things you have to do in the name of education.

  3. Surely it is better to have the bread on the ground and not the roof cuz then the fev-vers have to come down to you.

  4. We'd just eat the bread and let the birdies go!

  6. My new friend Poppy Q - Thank you for commenting on my new blog. I have perused yours as well and find it quite stimulating! I have added your link to my blog list and would love it if you would add me to yours, when you get a chance out of your busy schedule, which I can well appreciate. Hoping that we soon become the best of friends!

  11. Looks like your mom feeds birds. Or tries to. Perhaps they came down to feed after you left.

  12. Ooooh. We should get the mommy to do this outside so we can watch the birdies eat. We're not allowed outside so we can't play with them but it would be fun to watch.

Though if a turkey comes along we might not be able to stop Monkee from breaking out.

  14. Poppy, did you get top taste any of the bread? And did the birdies fly down from their perch? We are inside kitties, so we are really interested in your outdoor skills!

  16. LOL you look in good stalking mode there. My neighbour puts out bread for the feathery things, I try but mum says I make too much noise and they fly away.

  21. Only one loaf? Mum put the last bit of a loaf out tonight for the birdies, but she toasted it first.
