Sniffles

Mum works at the hospital, and as it is entering the winter cold/flu season, and with swine flu on the rise, she rolled up her sleeve and had the flu vaccine three weeks ago. Now she hasn't had a cold in about 9 months, but ever since her jab, she has been feeling sniffley and today sneezy as well.

She would have rather stayed at home with me, but she is on-call and tomorrow is on shift, and Thursday is the only one able to help out, and then on-call on Frid, Sat and Sunday night and then shift next Monday and on-call next Tuesday. So maybe she can schedule a sick day in bed with me next Wednesday. Til then, lem sip and hopefully an early night.

We hope all the germs stay away from you all.

Sniffley smooches

  1. I would find it very hard to get out of that bed with you curled up on it like that!

  2. Your poor mum! That's lots of hours to work, specially when you are feeling sniffly.
Has she tried Vick's First Defence? Our Beans swear by it. They haven't had colds or flu for about three years now. They always used to come back from long haul flights with streaming noses, but not any more.

  9. Your poor mum sounds a lot like my mum, on call and on shifts. My mum said she had a flu jab years ago and would never have another, it made her quite ill for a good while

I hope our mum's snffles dont last long and that she will feel better soon.

    Hugs GJ x
