Me and my mum are home safely. The girls at the cat motel said I was a great guest. I ate my food, did all the right things in the right places and was nice to my neighbours. I'm glad to be home though, lots of sniffing to do outside.
This morning it was a bit exciting where mum was. Because of the big earthquake in Samoa, there was a tsunami warning for most of coastal New Zealand. Because mums family live not too far from the beach, they packed some clothes and food, grabbed the dog Lush and headed for the hills. Mums niece, Belle - well she grabbed photos, passports, her mum and dads wedding photo, and nana Barbs ashes (the family treasures). Luckily, the waves passed us by and we were all safe. We hope that Samoa is safe now, and hope that they get some aid quickly.
I was thinking about you this morning when we heard about the tsunami warning for NZ on our radio. I'm glad no kiwikitties had to get their paws wet!
ReplyDeleteThe importance of sniffing can never be underrated. Glad to hear you are home safely!
