Sleepy Sunday

Today was a great day to have a little snoozathon. Mum went to a local craft fair, which was chaotic even by 10am. She got to buy a few christmas presents, and a few for herself.

She bought an old old iron to use as a doorstop. One of the ones great grandma would have heated up on the coal range, and used to singe her clothes. Mum thought it would put her back out carring it home, as it weighed a hefty 6.8 kgs (15 pounds).

We hope you all had a productive weekend too.

  7. Cool idea for a door stop. I thought she was going to heat it up to put in the bed to make it nice and toasty for you.

  8. Wow. We hope your mum's back is fine. A small object weighing 6.8 kg is harder to carry then a larger one where the weight is distributed better.
Imagine using such an iron! I bet the ladies, back then, had a whole lot less time to play with us kitties!
