Fun Day One - Tuesday

For our Tuesday , which is Fun Day One - mum decided to hang up all of her Aunt Cookie picturs including this one. In fact it was time for her to take down the christmas decorations, shameful I know!!

She hasn't quite got the arrangement right, but she likes having them up on the wall. They make her smile.

Mum went to the supermarket and bought lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and had steak with onions, peppers and courgettes for dinner. After tea she played the music real loud, with Paloma Faith on the stereo, and lit some new vanilla candles to make the house smell sweet. Then she started putting the pictures up.

For my fun day, she unpacked a box she has had for ages and let me play in the box!!! Yippee!!
Every day this week, we are making a conscious choice to do something fun, that makes us happy. The weather has been grim, the news is always bad and we need to finds some things to make us smile. We hope you can join us!!

  6. Miss Poppy, you and your Mum are off to a fun start.

Today we are starting something new and sort of fun! Today is the first day of all wet foods and no more crunchies. Dr. Tad thinks Whitey might be eating all the crunchies! He denies it of course, but this way Mom can be sure we are all getting what we need... And maybe you noticed that the White Boy is a little bit "extra" lately? Mmmmhmmmm.

  8. That Aunt Cookie artwork definitely brings a smile to my face! Making a conscious effort to do something fun every day is a fabulous idea, and one we often overlook in our busy and stressful lives. We need to pay more attention to the fur kids in our lives--they know how to enjoy themselves. We could learn a thing or two. :-)

    Have another fun day!

  11. This is a great idea Poppy Q! Our mom thought it would be fun this week to put on loud music after dinner and pick up a cat a night and "dance" with us! Some of us LOVES it, others, not so much. But it does make our mom smile!

  15. WOW~!!! That sure is a FunDay!!! You look adorable playing the the box too! Mm likes the Freaky Cat Lady picture! MOL!!! Our mom did a fun thing today too. She got up at 5:30am and did the Wii Fit Plus for 45 minutes. She keeps mentioning a bikini that she's going to get back into! She even has it hanging on her closet door, so it gives her inspiration.

  31. What a great idea... conscious fun. That's cool. Today, even though I've been talking alot about being mad at Glogirly, I made a conscious effort to be cuddly with her. At first she didn't recognize me. But then we had a nice nap together.
