Outsides

I got to spend some outsides time with mum at the weekend.  I helped her hang out the washing and do some tidying up.

She us making the most of any opportunity to have doors and windows open while there are a couple of warmer hours in the day.

Did you find me yesterday?  I was hiding next door.  I love exploring the neighbours places, as they have interesting smells and I'm sure they're hiding mousies.  Some of my friends are surprised that I'm an outdoor/indoors cat.  Most Kiwi cats are, we usually get to wander around wherever we want.  We have a couple of dogs next door but they're just little Chiauauas and I could squash them easy.  I do try and stay away from the street where the cars whizz by.

Finally mum let me in the outsides. When she got home I shot out of the door like a bullet. She dragged me back in and then unlocked the back door so that I could explore.


There is a great little deck where I can sit and watch the neigbours.

The othere houses are close by, but our little back yard is private and cosy for us.

I have been good and come back inside to tell mum that I haven't got lost yet.

My cat door will be in soon too, so I will be able to come and go as I want.

Here is me outside, looking in. Today has been windy and cloudy, and the rain is building up so there wasn't too much time outside.

Mum was busy at work, but when she got home at teatime she went out into the backyard with me for a little while. She only pulled out two weeds, but she says two every day soon add up.
