Super Sunday

Mum wishes that every weekend could be a 3 day weekend.  Again she was lucky to have a little bed buddy for a while last night - me of course!!  She got to sleep in and read her book in bed.  Although it was a windy day, the sun shone enough for mum to get out for an afternoon walk.  She did a fair bit of window shopping, and ran into some friends which was nice.  She treated herself to a nice salad for lunch and decided that with the long weekend sales, she would buy a new tv.

So we now have a big screen in the living room, and Gdad will take our old tv to see if he can use it at his house, or he will see if someone could make use of it.  So there will be  a bit of a tight budget for the next few months, as mum tries to tighten the purse strings.

Phone calls to family were made and a simple dinner of beans on toast for mum, and a feast for me.

A big of watching on our big screen and off to bed soon.

Hope you all had a super Sunday too.

Super Sunday

Today I was helper cat in the garden.  Check out the size of the weed = bigger than I am!!!
Mum started a new book, perfect for reading in the sun, but better for reading in bed.  Especially as the past two nights we have felt the beginning of a chill in the air.
Luckily the sun has still been shining in the daytime, perfect for gardening and painting your toenails bright pink.
Dinner tonight was steak with a fresh tomato salsa and roasted potato/carrot/pumpkin.  I think that is five servings done for the day once mum has an apple for dessert.  Mmmm and mum got to eat it while watching NZ masterchef.

Super Sunday

Our Sunday was super today - it was sunny and when we were outside it was quite warm.  We had a lovely sleep in, and then mum left me to have an afternoon siesta, and she went off for a walk.

There was some gratuitous shopping done - a couple of tshirts and a new dressing gown - ohh laa laa.  Then mum came home and cooked a yummy Sunday dinner - a nice piece of pork with apple sauce, mashed potatoes, lemon carrots and broccoli.

Mum had a good night out last night too.  She met a bestie for dinner, and ate so many noms her tummy felt sore.  They then went and watched the All Blacks play Ireland on a big screen at the pub.  The pub was passing around free hot dogs, and mum had to turn them down as she had scoffed so much at the restaurant.  Maybe next week she will have the free pub food instead.  Good job she went for a walk today to burn off some of the calories.

So we have the heater on and our feet up tonight, getting ready for another week of working.  Hope you all had a lovely weekend.
