Mum bought this pillow a couple of weeks ago, she wasn't sure if it went with the couch but she likes it, so it stays for a while. Mum did laugh when she listened to the radio the other morning, they were talking about sounds you never hear anymore - like a rotary dial telephone, records being played on a record player, the return of a manual typewriter, the sound of glass milk bottles clinking together etc. Mum thought that they were all sounds that many young ones would never have heard, but she knows that most bloggers would remember those noises.
That is a really cool pillow, Poppy!
ReplyDeleteMommy remembers those sounds. She also thinks the telephone pillow is chic. Is it comfy Poppy?
ReplyDeleteI like the phone pillow - if it were at my house, I would probably want to nap right on the phone part!
ReplyDeleteYes, many simple sounds, gone forever, such a shame :(
ReplyDeleteAh, yes... I remember all of those sounds! I remember milk being delivered fresh to our back door stoop each and every morning!
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool pillow. Just today we were watching an old episode of Heartbeat and someone was calling the police on a rotary phone. It took a lot longer to dial than it would these days!
ReplyDeleteSomeone at mom's office has her ring tone for her cell phone as an old-fashioned telephone ring. It really took our mom aback the first time she heard it!
ReplyDeleteLike the pillow!
ReplyDeleteOur MOm remembers all of those sounds.
ReplyDeleteMemories!
ReplyDeleteI love the pillow - your mama has very good taste.
wow, that pillow is pretty cool! I want to hug it Woof!

Mum says she remembers, we don't. Mum actually just carried off Grampie's old typewriter.
