Sheet Smoother

Mum tried her best to get to bed earliesh on Sunday night, but first she had to make the bed with my help.  You see it is my job to inspect the clean sheets and smooth them out with my furs.  This is a complicated process and can't be rushed.   After such a lovely sunny Sunday it blew a gale all night and we awoke to a reminder that winter is only just behind us.   Of course it cleared up while mum was at work, and got worse again at 4.30pm while she headed home.   She feels like such an old lady, as dinner was eaten by 6pm and then she nodded off on the sofa.  She was thinking of a little nap, but as I was hogging her bed she stayed on the couch.

Operation clear the DVR is in progress as Walking Dead, Downton Abbey and Scandal are all about to start new seasons.  Our tv channels have wised up to having to show them only a day or two after they have been shown in the US, otherwise  everyone will just download the shows and watch them on their computers.

So we hope your week has started well .

  3. Well, you'll soon have spring and then summer, Poppy. Up in Canada, we're having a last hurrah of summery weather. That won't last either.

  4. You look like a very good sheet smoother Poppy. Mum says I make mole hills in the sheets. We had very heavy rain through the night again, but it is nice and sunny now.

  6. Poppy you are doing a professional job smoothing out & furring up those clean sheets. I like to drive mom crazy by jumping up on the bed when she is changing sheets. I jump up and make sure I complicate putting on each layer. The bottom sheet, top sheet, blanket & finally the quilt and then my little quilt & heaty pad at the bottom. It is a lot of fun to slow the job down. Once mom just kept making the bed & I got squished between the sheet & blanket, but I wiggled my way out after a while.
Tell your mom that she is not an "old lady" there are lots of us younger single ladies that eat early & then take an unexpected snooze on the sofa. My mom cannot wait for the Walking Dead premiere next Sunday here in the states. Glad to hear the TV stations over there will be showing them very soon after they air in the US. At least there will be some decent shows to watch after months of nothing to watch. It is still 85 degrees here today, so it doesn't feel much like fall yet. Keep up the good work Poppy. You are mom's little furry helper.

  7. Mum likes to head to bed early at times too. Needs her beauty sleep, and trust us, she needs lots of sleep.

  8. Poppy, what a wonderful helper you are. Those sheets would just not be ready without you smoothing them with your pretty furs. :)

    Hugs to you and Mum!
