Afternooning


 Mums back on the afternoon shifts.  I get the bed from 9am- midnight, then she takes over.  She's glad to have the mornings to relax and spend with me.

    When I worked shifts - lo, these many years ago - I never liked the afternoon shift. I never felt that the morning hours were mine; I felt I was just filling in time until work. I preferred to get the work over with in the mornings.
