The skies were tinged with pink this evening, but there is meant to be heavy rain tonight/tomorrow. Mum doesn't care, her 12 day of shifts finishes at 7am tomorrow and she has a couple of days off to relax with me. She'll take her rain jacket tonight just in case.

That's a mackerel sky, Poppy. It often presages rain or other unsettled weather, so I guess the prediction agrees.
