Hot

It is 10.45pm and it is still 22deg C here, and was a hot 30deg C here during the day so mum is a bit of a sweaty  mess.  She went out tonight and met some friends for tacos for dinner.  They then went and saw UK comedian Sarah Millican play live.  Mum enjoyed it, although she felt she had heard a lot if her material before.  Still it is always good to go and have a good belly laugh.

I got a late supper and mum said I could have my heated blanket turned off for a few weeks now and we can have the fan on instead.  Time for bed - nite nite.

Hot

Today feels like it has been the hottest day of the year, so mum is trying to encourage me not to lie under the covers.   She has the bedroom window open but I am not interested.

She also had our new cat door installed this morning but I haven't noticed it yet.  She took her niece out today to get her some treats as she had done tremendous work helping mum move.

Mum had a moment saying goodbye, middle aged ladyness often makes her teary.  Today is also a year since gdad died, and tears had been building all day.

Hot, Humid, Cloudy + Wet

It was one of those days here in the capital city.  It rained, the sun came out, clouds came over, a bit more rain, cool then hot and now humid as me and mum put our tootsies up to watch the tele.  Mum and I slept in, then she did some gardening and then went for a walk into town to meet a bestie.  They had average pizza from a proper pizzeria for dinner  and then went and saw The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, which was sweet and life affirming, and mum didn't find old Ben Stiller as annoying as she normally does.

She stopped off at the supermarket to stock up on fruit and veg for the coming days as well as a supply of cat biscuits for me.  It was 9pm as she strolled up the street to our little house, the neighbours were in the garden weeding at that late hour.  So after feeding me my feast, mum is now going to serve up some yoghurt and fresh strawberries and watch the news.

Hot

Today has been hot, hot, HOt!! So I have been chilling inside where it has been a bit cooler. Mum is working, but managed to get home for a lunch and packing break!! Hope your weekend is going well, and you are getting some relaxing time like me.

Today

Today was even hotter than yesterday, but not as hot as it has been in most of Australia. In Victoria, at least 84 people have died in terrible fires. We did get a taste of the heatwave over the past two days, but the clouds are back tonight. We hope they get some rain where they need it in the south, and some sun where they need it in the north (there has been flooding in other areas in Oz).
