Fun

My ribbons and me had a fun time making the bed at the weekend. Our weather turned gloomy, reminding us that is really winter and not really spring. It has been nice to turn the heaters off some nights, and to get our washing dry on the line.
I am a bit tired tonight, as we have been having roadworks outside our house for the past week. The council men are digging up our footpaths, and tomorrow they start outside our house. So mum and I are planning an early night, after the dishes are done, watching ER and reading the last chapter of her book.
Sweet dreams everybuddy or have a good day, depending where in the world you live.

Accessorize with Ribbons

To make bedmaking Saturday more fun - accessorize with ribbons.
Mum and I had fun playing while we made the bed, that just maybe why we are tired today.

My Friday Friends

This weeks my Friday Friends come from North Carolina in the US. Their blog is :http://fourcrazycats.blogspot.com/
I have only met them recently, so they are new friends of mine, but have been blogging for a while.

One of their lovely cats, Mojo, well he was needed at the Bridge in February. So these three sweet boys keep their mom very busy. Please meet:

This is Devon out for a walk on his harness. I love the jaunty scarf and have been reading about how he loves to get out and about in his stroller too.

This is Smokey. Check out his awesome cat bed, I think he looks rather regal and wise sitting here. Smokey loves hugs.

This is Tanner. Check out the size of the nip he is hanging onto!!! He likes to look out windows, and I hear that pigeons are his fave bird.

We love to meet new bloggers, and we hope you all take a minute to meet our new friends.

Have a nice weekend everybuddy.

I captured my prize

I love to chase pens, and bits of paper. I am a very good stalker, as I get to chase birdies and mice outside.
What do you like to chase and stalk?

Wibbly Wobbly Sore Tummy

Yesterday, mum was meant to be going out for tea. So she grabbed a takeaway lunch on the run. Big mistake. Within an hour her tummy was gurgling............

Then it was going in and out, and up and down, and making crazy noises.

Then she had to sit on the loo for a long long time. So, no she didn't make it out for dinner. She crawled back into bed with me.

And today, she feels much much better. Mum says she hates the food poisoning, but is glad it only lasted for one day and night, as she was really needed at work today.

Photo Sessions

On Saturday mum was at work from 09:30am til about 10:20pm. When she got back and had some dinner, we made the bed and had a photo session. So there are lots and lots of photos to share with you this week.

Mum is always trying to get a great straight on picture, with me not glaring at her. Pretty tricky, this one is almost perfect.

Have a nice week everybuddy.

In the Paper Last Week - Titled THE FAMILY THAT SPEYS TOGETHER

A Kiwi couple's de-sex life is keeping them together and on the move.

Alistar and Susan McKellow have rolled into New Plymouth in the SPCA mobile clinic.

They travel the country fixing cats and dogs, performing the simple surgery in a converted caravan.

Their marriage spans 37 years and 11,000 neutered and spayed animals, with Mrs McKellow assisting her husband as his vet nurse since 1972.

The de-sexing dream team spends three weeks of every month on the road, travelling all over New Zealand before heading home to Gisborne.

The animal-loving couple started working for the SPCA in 2006 after selling Mr McKellow's practice of 27 years.

The clinic was established by the SPCA to provide a free animal fixing service, because some owners couldn't afford it.

"Many of those animals wouldn't ever get to a vet. If we don't do it, people miss out," Mrs McKellow said.

SPCA education and fundraising officer Jackie Poles Smith says the North Taranaki organisation tries to target people whose animals already have litters.

It promoted the clinic's arrival through door knocking, leaflets and newspaper advertisements.
Kitten and puppy season starts in August and September, and the SPCA is hoping to reduce the number of unwanted animals it receives.

The clinic can even spay cats and dogs that have jumped the gun as it can also operate on pregnant pets to prevent more litters.

In addition to de-sexing, every animal that visits the clinic is microchipped and their information added to a database.

It is the second time the mobile clinic has visited New Plymouth and it is fully booked.
Mrs Poles Smith praised the work of the McKellows.
"They're making a real difference."

We give this awesome couple two paws up, for looking after lots of little sweeties all over New Zealand. Aren't some people just fabulous?

The well known - Pouty/Moody go away glance.

The Celebrity - Look away and they can't see your beautiful face.

The Look Down - look at the floor/ground/carpet so that your eyes don't show.

The Look Up - only achieved by having your photographer have 15 live birdies dancing on her head.

The Full on Mug Shot - this look is only achieved by having the photographer dangle a whole leg of lamb in her teeth, while coated in a layer of fancy feast.
My mum says sometimes it takes a bit of work to get a nice photo of me. I don't know what she is talking about, they're all great.

How are you all doin?

Today, I am having a mega nap. It was a GLORIOUS sunny warm day, almost like spring. Mums theory is that because they put Easter eggs in the supermarket on Jan 1, the weather gods are confused. They don't know what to do. Mr Gore, we thinks you might be a bit right too, but those weather gods, they don't know what to do when the summer gear is coming out in the shops now (it's meant to be winter here).
So, I was just napping from 2.17pm to now 10.14pm, and my mum popped into use the puter, so she gived me some ham - in bed. Thats right, late night supper on the duvet. She better not want her bed back, it's mine!!!

The Secret

The Secret to a smooth relationship:
Take turns on the bed. When she moves out, you move in. A nice merino jumper to sleep on helps sometimes.
Hope everybuddy has a nice sleepy Sunday.

Happy August

Happy Welcome to AUGUST!! Thats right folks, here in the southern hemisphere things are beginning to bud and grow, that's right our garden is showing little signs of spring - very very early we must say. We are having less rain, so mum needs to get out and pull more weeds again.

Our wheelie bin is full of weeds ready for the men to pick up at earlyo'clock on Monday morning.

We hope you all have a productive weekend.

Smoocheroonies!!
