Sweet Puss

This weekend, we remember mums sweet girl Puss.

About 7 years ago, this wee tabby girl climbed through the lounge window and came up for a cuddle. Everytime mum said 'hello Puss', she would chirp back at her. She was skinny and her paws were dirty, and it looked like she lived rough. So after a week, mum caved in and fed her and she moved in. Just like that. So if anybuddy is missing a sweet tabbycat, mum is sorry for stealing her. She let Puss use the cat door, so she could go home if she had one, and mum checked all the lost ads and called the SPCA, just in case.

Puss liked eating, she loved peoples food and always wanted to see what you had on your plate. One of her favorites was potato chips!! Yum yum!!

She liked to talk to mum, and loved to come for a cuddle. Puss loved visitors too, but like me was scared of big uncle. When he came to stay she would hide in the garden across the road.

The vet thought Puss was about 10 years old, and we always wonder about her earlier life and who she lived with before she came to make mum happy.

Puss we miss you, but know you are having fun at the bridge. We'll meet again sweet girl.

My Friday Friend

It's Friday, so lets go meet a friend.

This is my new friend Rusty. He lives with his mom Deborah, dad and beans in Los Angeles. Deborah is a teacher, and she loves the kitty cats, and quilting. You can find their sweet blog here at Caitty Quilts http://caitty1.blogspot.com/

Stats

We love all of our visitors, and we try to be humble, but we were obsessed at watching our numbers. Usually between 30-70 visitors a day pop in, which is down from the 100 plus we had last year.

Tonight, when we switched on our puter, it told us we had only 11,900 visitors to Poppy Q since it started. Last night it had said we had 54,000. Somehow we lost most of you overnight. We're sorry, whatever we did - please come back!! We miss yoo.

Monday

A boring Monday. Mum was at work til 3am, so that meant she only had to go back from midday til 6pm.

She gave me a chicken thigh with some meat on it for my dinner, so I am spending the evening guarding it outside by the back door.

Oh noes

Oh noes, mum broke my collar trying to get the pets eye view camera on to it. So now, she has to get me a new collar to try and wear with it. She also wants to be home when we use it, as you have to get the photos loaded within 5 hours of them being taken, or the battery wears out and the pictures go away.

Also because it is so big, she doesn't want me to get off balance or fall of the fence or get my collar caught. So she would rather be around.

So we are going to have to wait til next weekend. Sorry fans, you'll have to wait a week to see what I see.

Mum thinks there will be 20 photos of the ceiling and another 20 of the bed as she thinks I sleep all day.

Camera Cat

Lots of you were clever, and noticed what the box I was playing with in yesterdays post . Yes, it has a Pets Eye View Camera.



Mum has taken it out, and charged it up.


But, she wants to be at home with me when I use it, as it clips onto your collar, and she is a bit worried that I might get tangeled up. So hopefully this weekend we will get a chance to use it!!

Happy Spring

Welcome Spring - we are soo glad you are back.

Operation Back garden clean up will begin this weekend. We hope you give us some sunshines, so I can snoopervise my mum, and help her pull up weeds, and get the garden ready.

Our friends in Australia are saying they need more sunshines too. Be kind to all my friends in the northern hemisphere, and say goodbye to them gently. I don't think they are ready for autumn yet.

These pictures made my mum laugh. Often they are blurry, as I move my head out of the picture, and that is why so many photos of me are taken when I am lying down and sleepy.

Feather Mousie

Sorry we missed a day of blogging. We missed you all!! We hope you like the movie that I mad on Saturday for you.

Mum feels much better, after a good sleep and a day of relaxing she feels good. Saturday was beautiful here, with warm sunshines. Sunday however was a reminder that winter has not quite left us, with windy rains.

Bonjour My Friday Friend

On Fridays, we get to introduce our new blogging friends to all our other friends. Many of you have met before, but we know we have some readers - friends and family, who have not had a chance to meet any of the other cats out there.

This week My Friday Friend comes from Fontainebleau, which is 70kms south of Paris in France. It is the very beautiful kittenHaricot Blanc , which translates to White Bean.

Haricot Blanc is still a wee kitty cat, and we think was born about April this year. She shares her house with two year old Hiro, who is a black girl and a purr monster. Hector is an older, handsome male tabby sharing the house, who was born in Germany, lived in Italy and now is living in France (how is that for being well travelled!!).

In the house are a couple of beans too, and some woofies.

I hope you all get a chance to meet my new friends. They haven't been blogging long, and don't seem to get many visitors, but we love them and think they are very sweet. Please pop in and say Hi.

Sunshines

Today there were lots of sunshines. So tonight, it is a bit frosty. My rest during the day is still being disrupted by the workmen outside our house, so it was early to bed for me.

Mum is watching Benjamin Buttons, so she will come to bed in an hour. She was a good girl and turned the electric blanket on so I can have a cosy rest, waiting for her.
