Another sign of spring is the sunbeams streaming into our house. Of course our morning was full of rain, but there have been a couple of dry spots during the day. The morning rain kept mum in bed reading her book for ages, and I snoozed in the spare room.
Mum went to the hairdresser yesterday to get the grey taken out of her hairs. Her hairdresser is very sweet, and in demand, so mum had to book the next two appointments ahead of time, and now knows her hair will be good up until March 2011. Better start saving mum!!
It was a friends birthday last night, so she joined her friends for a nice relaxed dinner full of laughs. She had a tasty lamb,
risotto dish that had a
fabby rich sauce with it. Meringues with lemon curd and fresh fruit for pudding finished off the tasty meal. Tonight will be plain food eaten at home, but secretly mum thinks she enjoys home cooking more.
Your human wants the grey taken out of her hair?! I think grey is a lovely color, and I imagine you do too, Poppy.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cool photo, Poppy...Enjoy time with your Mum today...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteLookin' lovely as always my dear.
ReplyDeleteMy mum spent Saturday morning in bed reading. It's a good way to spend some time on the weekend, we think.
ReplyDeleteYou were in the spare room? Not with your mum? We don't understand !
ReplyDeleteYour mum's dinner sounds wonderful. Our mum loves to eat out. She is a really terrible cook. All of the food she prepares comes out devoid of flavour.
Oh, Kate needs to have the grey taken out of her hair too. It's a shame that it's not acceptable for ladypeople to have stripey hair, huh?
ReplyDeleteGrey - what grey? I don't see any grey in M's hair. he he - she covers hers up too.
ReplyDeleteI can tell you like the sunbeams, Poppy. Mom's dinner out sounds deelish, but I agree,it is not possible to eat that way every day.
ReplyDeleteYou sure look great in the sunpuddle PoppyQ! Warm backs feel so good!!!
ReplyDeleteOur mum does the same thing with her grey hairs. Hey, what is wrong with grey hairs? Laila and Poppy look awesome in theirs!
ReplyDeleteLooks like Spring is coming to your house Poppy. We're happy you have more sun.
ReplyDeleteYour Mom's weekend sounds fun!
Poppy, you are so pretty in the sunbeams, soon they'll be HOTbeams! Our Mommy gave up the gray fight and quit coloring her hair...and she likes it better! Silly Mommy.
ReplyDeleteOur Daddy is a fab cook so our Beans don't go out to eat much--but your Mum's dinner out sounds wonderful...and it's always great to eat with friends.
Greetings Poppy Q,
ReplyDeleteIt is a pleasure meeting you and mum. I must say you're a QT alright.
Nice to learn that the earthquake did not hit where you are at.
There will be more sunshine to come as the days grow longer, while for us they get shorter.
Take care,
Miss Kitty
I'm glad your mum had a nice time with her friends. Have a great weekend ;-)
ReplyDeleteWe agree that home cooking is often the best!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your sunshine!
ReplyDeleteYour mum's meal with her friends sounds tasty. Poppy, never try taking your grey furs out or you will end up being a Sphynx.
ReplyDeletei'm too heading to the hairdresser for grey hair be-goneing in a few days and i too have to book well in advance (although not two apps)...:)
ReplyDeletethe dinner sounds fab (minus the lamb of course, but on the other hand i'm sure the kitties and one loaf would say that was the best part of the meal:), but i do know what you mean about home cooked meals. sometimes the price one pays for dinners out far surpass the actual food/eating experience...
have a lovely week!
