Mum and I wanted to let you all know that we are ok. There was a big earthquake in christchurch, which is about 600km away from us, at 4.38 am this morning. Lots of buildings have problems, and people have been evacuated as there was some flooding, but in our city we never felt anything. This picture is from the front page of the news website.

phew, i do have some sense of geography at least, i didn't think christchurch was in the vicinity of wellington so i was never worried for you;) still, how terrible!
