Did you know that Christchurch had a big earthquake in Sept last year? Since then, they have had over
5,000 - amazing.
Well last night Wellington had a little one, and just one, but it was enought to shake us. We can't imagine what our friends down south are feeling.
Mum is on shift next week, and her job will be to get us some more earthquake survival gear, water, a camp stove, fancy feasts, etc..........
I hope your little earthquake is the very last one you ever feel.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Simba, hope you never get another one.
ReplyDeleteSending purrs!
Millie
Sounds very scary. We also hope you never feel another one.

ReplyDelete#1 lived in earthquake-prone Japan for 20 years and that is one thing she does not miss!
ReplyDeleteWe, too, hope that's the last one you ever feel.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very good idea to be prepared...It's something we all should do, no matter where we live.
Stay safe! It must be such a worry.
ReplyDeleteThat must have been a little scary! WE are so glad you are OK!
ReplyDeleteWow, scary!! We hope your mom stocks up on your food!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get lots of fancy feasts and that you don't ever need to use them except to change them out for fresh ones!
ReplyDeleteAny earthquake you can feel is scary! We can always teleport supplies down to you on our boogie mat!
ReplyDeleteGood idea Poppy. You should be prepared. I hopes you never has to use it tho. Dat earthquake has to be very scary - I can't even imagine.
ReplyDeleteWe all need to have a kit ready for just in case. You look purrfect on your deck ...
ReplyDeleteIt is a very good idea to be prepared! We live in earthquake country here in southern California in the U.S. and my human needs to follow your human's lead.
ReplyDeleteWe are glad the earthquake you felt was a minor one. It is very scary Poppy. Before the Christchurch earthquake, we never realised that NZ is on a major fault line.
ReplyDeleteThat is very scary. It is always good to be prepared.
ReplyDeleteSurvival goods for you are absolutely required.
ReplyDeletewe are so glad iyou quake was not bad. We used to live where several faults converged so we got used to all of the different types of tremblors. Our mum used to keep supplies of cat food, water,Spam and blankies in two different spots in case the house fell and she couldn't get to one or the other. She made draw string bags out of pillowcases to put us into to move us quickly if she couldn't get to or get us into our carriers. We are totally unprepared now.
