Shaky Night

Last night it was a bit shaky here in our city.  There was a big size 7 earthquake shook our city and lots of towns around NZ.  Luckily it was very deep and off the coast, so there were no known injuries or damage, but everybody was rocking and rolling.  Even I got a bit scairty and jumped off mums bed where I was napping, and runned out past my mum and outside.

Mum didn't get much sleep last night, but feels much better today.

  1. I'm glad your town was not badly affected by the earthquake, Poppy! We get them here too so we know how scary they can be.

  2. Not much sleep had here either. We had some things fall off shelves and the cats were not happy - no fun these earth-wobblies XO

I didn't sleep much after either - big sook I am.
Books fell off bookshelf. Brent even got out of bed for this quake. James wouldn't come and stand under door (teenager!) He was busy holding his guitars on his wall LOL

  8. We read about the earthquake and thought of you, Poppy, and your mum. You had good sense to run outside, just in case. We're very glad there wasn't much effect where you were.
