We found this big dude sunbathing on our deck this morning. He is a weta, and mum does not like them, they freak her out. Luckily this fellow wanted to stay in the garden and not visit us in the house.
That must be something unique to New Zealand. I've not seen its like in Canada. Some of mine would kill the weta, some would eat it and Tucker would run away from it...
poppy Q...whoa...de dood is lookin at uz....him looks like a cricket ore a grazz hopper...sew....did ya fry him up N eat it with a nice side oh feast !!!
HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We would be jumping sixteen feet in the air if that guy was in our patio. We have critters like that here too called Mormon crickets...even the cats are ascarit of them!
UHHGGGGG! Makes me think of an old kids song with the title "Lets All Go To The Ugly Bug Ball". We are glad the Weta does not live in the US. Maybe there are some good things about living where it is so cold. RUN POPPY RUN!
