Lucky

Mum was lucky and got taken out to dinner with friends tonight to a fancy restaurant.  Mum even dragged out her dress to wear.  It is linen and was a bit rumpled.  As she does not have an iron she used her hair straightener to make it presentable.  She didn't tell her friends that - they would be horrified.

Mum had delicious lamb shanks for her dinner and I think the best cream brulee she has ever had.  She will sleep well tonight. 

Me - well I had a feast for dinner.  it was delicious too.

Lucky

I am a lucky girl being able to roll around in the garden by myself on a spring day.

 Mum was lucky today.  As she headed to work the skies stayed dry and a half an hour later the clouds opened and it kept raining until a half hour before she finished.  She got home dry with all of her yummy groceries .  Which was good, as she was tired again.  She got only about one hours sleep as it was quite the windy night.

 The little sparrows in the back yard were lucky too as they got the last of mums bread.  They must have been hungry - we hadn't seen so many sparrows in some time.

I did not get lucky.  No birdies fell off the fence.  I had to make do with a feast.

Today it was lucky that I was there to play nurse Poppy.  Mum had a restless night not feeling very well, and felt horrible all morning.  Luckily things settled down about lunchtime as mum had to go to work at 2.30pm.  She said my nursing skills came in handy.  So tonight she is hoping for a good long sleep, as she will be on call for the next four nights.  Wish her luck!!

Here is Lucky again, snuggling with here hedgehog. She gives her a big sniff before she can go to sleep. How cute, and I am glad it is not a real hedgehoggie or you would get prickles in your nose.

This is Roxy. Roxy is training the whole family to get their black belts!! Good work Roxy.
