Wound Up Wednesday

Today, mum could not make this wordless, she has too much to say. Last night, I was running around, and mum was relaxing on the couch. She heard quite a commotion coming from next door and thought it was a cat screaming. By the time she got to the door, she saw a cat jump up against the glass door of the neighbours back door, then the door was quickly opened and a male laughed. Mum then saw a cat fly over the fence and round the front of our house, and the neighbour next door yelled out " you better keep better control of your cat"!!

Well mum was pretty sure it was me although it happened so fast , as she found me around the front of our house, and when I comed inside I was pretty quiet and just wanted to curl up on our bed. Don't worry she has checked me out, and I seem fine, and she thinks I wasn't kicked or injured, just shaken. So tonight I have stayed inside, and she is happy about that.

She is going to go and visit the neighbours and talk to them, but being teenage boys flatting together she gets the feeling that they will just laugh at her anyway. At the moment they are hiding from her with their lights out, but one night when they least expect it, she will visit them.

Mum is just angry and annoyed. If I was in the wrong place, and she doesn't want me in their house, then they are welcome to chase me out, but to be nice about it, and not be mean or cruel.

We are going to move out of our place sometime soon, and although mum was feeling sad about going, now she thinks it would be a good thing.

Thanks for listening!! We know all our friends understand how we feel.

  11. We are very sad to read about what happened, BUT so relieved you are OK.

We understand. We've never admitted this to anyone before (we feel too embarrassed) but our next door neighbour threatened to poison us for going in her garden (she meant it too!) So from then on mom started putting harnesses on us and we NEVER EVER go out alone now. (This happened about a year ago).

Mom tried to talk to the neighbour but the neighbour was hateful and really upset mom (who remained calm and polite despite provocation from the horrid lady).

Mom contacted the Police for advice but they said that unless the neighbour harms us, they can't take action. Needless to say, Mom isn't going to allow that to happen.

Mom and dad feel really miserable about it all ~ and have decided to move house too. We are currently "on the market" ~ mom said she could never have guessed that a neighbour in such a nice respectful road, in a good town, could be so RUDE, CRUEL and AWFUL.

So today we are sending yoo lots of LOVE and wise advice: don't take a risk with yoor precious Poppy. The world is full of vishus people who seem to be able to carry out cruel acts without a second thought.

  12. That's very scary, Poppy! We're glad you are safe and ok and glad you stayed inside today. Just the chance of stuff like that happenin to us scares our mum too. It sure is sad that people, young people too, aren't nice to animals.

  13. Oh, Poppy, we're glad you're okay! Terrible things have been known to happen to kitties and woofies, particularly at the hands of young boys, some of whom are heading for serial killer status later in life. Seriously. Please, please, please be careful.

  14. Oh, Poppy and Poppy's Mum! How awful! Purrs and headbumps. Stick very close to home from now on, okay?

  15. Poppy darling..I am so relieved to know that you are alright. That was a horrible and frightening experience and there is no excuse for that cruelty and hatefulness.

Too many people are cruel and hateful to us and we kitties must mind our moms and stay right in our home or yard.

I am hoping your mommy finds a new place to live. Many hugs to you sweet Poppy. xox

  17. Dear Poppy,
This is terrible. The fact that your mum heard you scream and saw you run out of there with terror makes it seem like these people are capable of being very mean. I read what Milo and Alfie wrote and I agree that there are a lot of viscious people, especially young males, and they cannot be trusted. Please stay safe!!

  18. Oh no. That was terrible. And we hate to say this but - there are many evil people out there. Maybe you should stay in until you move?

  19. Oh Poppy - I'm so very happy you are okay. M won't ever let me off a harness and leash either because she knows there are bad people out there who don't like us cat (why I don't know) and I might get hurt or poisoned. (shuttering). Stay safe little one.

  20. Oh Poppy! That is horrible! The Woman would have marched over there right then and screamed at them. Your Mum is much more controlled.

  23. Oh Poppy we are so sorry you must have been very scared and confused since you are used to being around your kind and loving Mom.

We think you will probably not be interesting in going outside for a while.

  24. Oh Poppy! This is just awful and we are so glad you were not hurt, though it sounds like you were very shaken up!

And those people, well, they are just evil. We think it is good that you are moving away from them - oh they just make us so angry. We wish that there weren't evil people like this.

We are sending you lots of purrs and hugs!

  25. Oh Poppy. How awful You'd best not go over there again. Both Mum and I are glad you are OK.

We are really luck where we live, everyone is cat friendly. I go next door, and next door but one, and next door's cats come over here, and we all share kitty treats from the same jar. We know we are really lucky that we all get on.

  27. Dear poppy Q
If they were mean to you, here are some things you can do.

    *poop in their vege garden
*Leave a dead bird in their gumboot
*Eat some grass & cough it up on their door step.
*Leave cat tracks all over their cars
Or you can ask our Tom cat to spray their washing for you.

Pussy's have power too you know.

Love Brent & Leanne (Brent made me write that!)

  30. Poppy, thank cod you are okay! We are so mad at those naughty mean boys we want to teleport over there and scratch their eyeballs out!

  31. I am disgusted that there are humans that are so mean (not to mention Milo and Alfie's hideous neighbor!). I wish there was a way to brand these people so that nice people would know to avoid them.

Poppy, when your human moves, you might make sure she mentions that the neighbors were cruel to you, and that no one with pets that go outside should move in.

  32. how horrible! and with your kind and demure nature it's even more nasty. people...:( i hope your mum gets to talk to those nasty boys parents son!!

and my sympathies to alfie and milo and their humans, people are just awful...

  33. To Poppy's mum. Are you sure that Poppy was't luredinto the house with the intention of tormenting her? Maybe the boys were drinking or using drugs. Is there someone you might register the incident with? You need to leave a paper trail. You have no idea of what Poppy suffered their hands. Just because you cannot see anything, it doesn't mean there was no pain inflicted or something potentially harmful wasn't done.

  34. Nobody messes with my kitty friends. I'm so glad you are okay. This is what teeth are for. Bite them Poppy, that's what I say...bite them hard. Rusty and I send our purrs and hugs.

  39. Remember, these are teen age boys. They might just retaliate further after you speak with them. Some grave harm may come to Poppy and the boys will just say she must have run away. Do you have strict laws in place for those who torture or kill cats that would deter them? We think she should be supervised at all times when she is outside.

  40. Oh Poppy,
We are so sorry you had to go through that awful experience. Please please please promise to be careful. People can be so mean. We love you and want you to be safe...stay indoors, sweet girl.

  41. That is just AWFUL. We never understand why some people can do something as cruel as to harm (even the least bit) an innocent animal. Please be very, very careful, Poppy. Stay far, far away from them.
