Welcome to My New Digs

This is my new summer digs. Can you see me coming in the cat door? I have my blanky, and my scratching pad in the house. This is my little room for when it is raining or night time, and I have a little cat door that lets me out into my own private run.

I also have these shelves up real high, with a bed on them for me to sleep on!!
Good last photo of me mum!
The cattery is real nice, and out in the country side. There is also a huge big run that I can go in once I have been here a couple of days, and mingle with the other prisoners.
Mum had no trouble catching me this time. I howled for half an hour, til the car came and then settled down.
I waited til we started in the Gorge, a narrow twisty part of the road where you can't stop to do a big "code brown" in my PTU. It was stinky, windows were down, and luckily mum had taken some kitchen paper towels and water to clean up, and big uncle had a big spray can of linx. Mum says I was a bit too hot and car sick, that she might pay for me to fly back home. Still, it was close to five hours of twisty roads, and the furtherest I has ever travelled.
Mum says home seems empty now, but she will only be here for a couple more days, then off to her house sitting job.
Smooches to everybuddy.

  6. Five hours is a long time to be in the car, Poppy. We're glad you made it to the cattery okay, in spite of the PTU incident.

It looks pretty good, though -- and being able to go in and out is great!

    Good luck!

  8. Dear Poppy, I hope the time goes by fast, and that your outdoor run might provide some entertainment, perhaps some birds to chatter at, or occasional squirrel hopping past.
Merry Christmas to you and your mum, and best wishes for happy settling in at the new place.

  9. Your fat camp looks great, Pops! You did good in the car. Lishy can't go more than 20 minutes before the situation becomes explosive.

  20. Ooh good trick with the code brown! Sis did that once on the way home from the vet. The hoomans had their heads out the windows and were dry wretching the whole way home. It was nasty.

Glad you have a nice outside run and a high up shelf to keep you entertained. Looks like a nice temporary home.

  21. Five hours on twisting roads? Our mum would have been sick after 10 minutes. She is green in the face just reading those words. No worry about the code brown, though. We always poop if mum doesn't keep the car really cool.
Maybe flying home would be better. Your mum could take you in the cabin with her.
