Happy Solstice

Today it is the winter solstice here in NZ.  That means that our short days will now begin to get longer.  It is also a signal to us, that the worst of the cold weather is due to come to us.  Even though it was grey today, we still managed a little photo sessions.  I know I look a little glum, it is just that I do not like the camera.  You think after six years I would be used to it.

  1. Poppy, my human has been sticking the camera in my face for 9-1/2 years and I think I hate it more with every click!

  4. You're such a gorgeous cat Poppy, no wonder your Mom likes taking photos of you!

Today is summer solstice so we're just hoping for some warm weather - even if the days start getting shorter.

  6. It's the summer solstice here in England, Poppy, and guess what, it's raining! Never mind, more chance to stay snuggly in bed though my mum's none too happy at all the paw prints, don't know why?

  7. The Gs don't even notice the camera anymore. Well, technically, it's my phone, but still.

Hooray for milder weather! Have yourselves a lovely day, ladies!

  8. Poppy, you may not like the camera, but it certainly likes you! You're looking very pensive there - thinking deep thoughts about mouse tails and fevvered creatures, perhaps?

  9. We didn't know whether to be happy the solstice was here as we're halfway to warms, or to be frightened of the storms and cold it is bringing us. Our Gma came to stay with us for a couple of weeks, and when she got back to Wellytown it was 4 degrees when she got of the plane. She said she nearly got back on the plane and came straight back home!
