Rainy

Mum says she is a bit tired of it raining on all of her days off.  She wants to get out and pull some weeds, and instead has to keep wearing her raincoat (not in the garden, she's not that nutty).

She went out and picked up some trousers she had hemmed this morning.  Then it was off to the film festival to see a couple of movies:  Your Sister's Sister and The Cabin in the Woods, which were both good.  Then she decided that the rain wasn't too bad and so she walked home before cooking a tasty mash and lamb chop dinner.

Me - I got up after she arrived home, ate my dinner and then headed off back to bed.  I'm going to stay there all night too.

Mumday

Today was Mumday again.  Mum gotted up and did not have to put her uniform on - yippee!!!  She enjoyed herself and went off to see a film festival movie in the morning, came home for lunch, went for a walk to the library.  She has a nice piece of salmon for dinner and lots of salad to eat.  It is a pity I don't share the peoples food with her, instead I will just munch on my feast.  Hope you all have a fun mumday too.

Neighbours

I like to sit in the neighbours back yard, they have lots of pavers that get warm from the sun.  They also have some nice garden beds that are perfect for my - you know, business.  After that a big mid afternoon nap, while I sent my mum out to get the groceries and for a walk in the sun.  Now we have a night of relaxing planned.

Caturday

Mum was on call last night, and she said it was another super chilly one to get out of bed - super frosty.

We had a little sleeps in, then got up and watched the opening ceremony of the olympics.  It was very festive looking, and mum is looking forward to some of the competitions starting.  Now she has to move her caboose, and head off to the fruit +veg market.  Then she is meeting a friend to have dinner and see Magic Mike (don't judge - it has had good reviews).

I'm off to lie in the sun - yes we have had lots of sun, but don't worry our rain and grey skies are due back for mums week off.

P.S - I did not shred the tree in yesterdays picture.  They  are called cabbage trees, and they always look like that.  We will try and get some betterer pictures to show you.

Sharp

Today was a good day to be outside and scratching.  It was a frosty old night, but lots of warm sunshines during the day.  Mum pulled a few weeds, and I sharpened my claws.

Almost

It is almost the weekend, and mum and I iz excited!!  Mum has a couple of days off to share with me, and she is looking forward to a break from her work and just hanging out.  She has a shift to do first and a couple of nights call, but relaxing is just around the corner.

Wordless Wednesday - Tongue Exercises

Plans

Mum is looking forward to the Olympics starting at the weekend.  She does have some plans to make the watching bearable.  If it is daytime and not raining, while the ads are on, she will pop outside and pull out weeds.  If it is night time or raining, she will sort out the wardrobes.  That way she will get some chores done, and doesn't feel guilty about watching the tele.

Mumday

Ohhhh mum was happy to have today at home, as it was cold and rainy and the perfect day for a sleep in.  Mum did venture out to go to the library, and to buy me some fancy feasts.  Then it is home to watch Aussie Masterchef.  For dinner, she is going to make a prawn and salad wrap.  And no - I won't be sharing the prawns, I don't be doing the human foods.

Weekend

 We are lucky this weekend, as mum gets to have Monday off with me.

Our Sunday was spent taking it easy.  This was the pretty sky last night, with lots of high winter clouds.  Mum got some groceries today, and did some chores around the house and read her book. Easy sunday winter stuff.

Caturday

It's Caturday today and me and mum has had the snoozes most of the day.  Mum finished night shift this morning, and she went to the market and got the fresh fruits and veg.  Then she climbed into bed with me, and had a wee snooze.

She got up in the afternoon, and I helped snoopervise the gardening.  She did ok - but I spot a few more weeds mum.

She is going to try and go to bed with me earliesh, and see if she can sleep some of the night, as her body clock is out of whack.

Finally Friday

It is finally Friday and mum has her last night shift tonight.  Last night I was sooo tired after being outside for the whole night the night before, that I crashed out on the bed.  When she got home at 8am I got out for breakfast then jumped back on mum as she went to bed.  I did wake her up at 12:30 to tell her something.  She got up, checked I had biscuits and then napped with her for another hour or two.

So - we are both sooo  looking forward to Caturday and the rest of the weekend.  How about you??

Waiting

When my mum gets called in overnight to go to work, I sometimes walk her down to the end of the street and I sit and wait an hour or two for her to come home.  She has to do a whole night shift last night, and I followed her again, and seven and a half hours later when mum got half way up our little street I ran out to join her.

So mum and I have caught up some sleeps today.

Purple Peace Pyjama Pants

Fanks for letting me sleep on your purple peace pyjama pants mum.  They are very cosy and keep me warm.   They keep me cosy on these cold winter nights.

Week Start

Mum got called out of her bed a couple of times last night.  So she got to nap at home with me today.  Although she tries not to sleep the day away, a few hours are necessary otherwise she can't cope.  The weather was still wet, so it was the perfect day for watching movies, reading her book and making home made soup (bacon, leek and potato).

Tonight she is going to make a chicken + veg + noodle stir fry and then come back to bed earliesh with me.  We're living the good life here at Poppy Q headquarters.

Mission

My mission - which I chose to accept, was to sleep the day away on our bed.  You see it was super cold, wet and windy today and I wanted to keep my spot warm.

Caturday

It's Caturday here at Poppy Q headquaters.  My outside plans have been scuttled as the weather is windy, coolish and wet, so I'm busy exploring inside.  Mum is trying to find the plugs for her sewing machine, and has pulled tonnes of stuff out of the wardrobes.  She has put lots of stuff out in the rubbish, and has lots for the charity shop - well done mum.

Bed Hog

I'll be hogging my mums bed this weekend.  As you can see I left her a spot, she can always share with me.  We have a few little plans, but nothing too exciting.    Going to start with some chilling out tonight.

Slow

It was a slow day at the Poppy Q office today.  I sent mum to work and I went to bed.  Oh I lie, when mum got home I was next door at the neighbours place,  obviously I had gone for a little walk and sniff expedition.  I came home for my tasty lamb dinner, and now I am plotting my evening sleep position.

Almost Wordless Wednesday

Sunnier

It has been a bit sunnier this week, and this has given me a chance to go outsides and explore.  I hate being cooped up inside all winter.  Me and my mum like a bit of fresh air.  We should enjoy it while it lasts, as I am sure we are still due some bad winter weather.

Helper

Yesterday I was good and helped my mum with some chores.  I sniffed the rubbish, and helped in the garden when she was chopping some of the plants back.  She has cleared some spots and filled the bins with leaves and branches.

Today, she cleaned the kitchen, juiced some fresh pineapple and organges, and made some fresh pumpkin soup for lunch.

Mum and I both got woken at 2am by some loud noises.  Mum can't be sure what it was, by the time she woke up it stopped.  Our house is close to the street, so often we hear noises from people arriving home late/early.  We have lots of security lights and they were off, so we are not thinking it was somebody near our house.  Luckily we could have a wee sleep in this morning.

Sunday Snoozing

Mum took this picture this afternoon.  I ain't going near the cat bed she bought me, she might have to give it as a donation to the SPCA and be done with it.  Who needs a bought bed, I'm quite comfy in my plastic one thank you.

Caturday

We love the video we posted last week of the pussycat on youtube singing it's Caturday song, and all day today mum had it in her head.

Mum got up at earlybird time,gave me my flea treatment, did some loads of laundry and went to the market and got lots of green stuff for the week.  Then she went and did jobs, met a friend for lunch, saw a movie, went to the supermarket, phoned a friend and had dinner.

We had a nice evening with the heaters on as it is a chilly night again.  We saw lots of pictures of the USA on the news - our friends have got the big hots at the moment.  We are sure keen to send them some of our cools.  We were lucky today though, the sun was shining and it was warm if you were out in the sun, a sign that spring is only a few months away.

Blurry Furry

The weekend is ours.  We have no crazy plans or working which is nice. Me and mum will be chillaxing in the city, and catching up on our sleeps.  We lost some because of the big earthquake the other night, the rattling and rolling made us lose our zzzs.

Sleeps

Mum says it is one more sleep and then it is the weekend.  She can sleep in with me too, as we don't have any early bird plans, besides snuggling up on our big bed.

Shaky Night

Last night it was a bit shaky here in our city.  There was a big size 7 earthquake shook our city and lots of towns around NZ.  Luckily it was very deep and off the coast, so there were no known injuries or damage, but everybody was rocking and rolling.  Even I got a bit scairty and jumped off mums bed where I was napping, and runned out past my mum and outside.

Mum didn't get much sleep last night, but feels much better today.

Good Life

Mum had to be up at early oclock this morning for work.  It was still dark when she left to head down the road.  The bonus is that mum finishes early which was nice.  So hopefully it will be early to bed as well.

Tonights highlight is exciting - brace yourselves.  The Middle is on tv, and mum is having mashed potatoes, sausages and peas - yippeee!!  Mine is fancy feast and then a big nap on mums bed.  Life is good!

All these super awesome beds are on ETSY,  Although the orange bed might now be sold, there are other groovy versions.  Of course I will never sleep in anything that my mother buys for me.  I prefer my bubblewrap bed. Hey - that's an idea, maybe I can sell bubble wrap beds!!
