Finally Friday

 This morning, as mum left the house there was a rainbow across the city which mum admired.  There was no time to get an Instagram beautiful shot - as soon as she took these it then clouded over and rained.  Poor mum got wet.

Work went quickly.  Then mum raced home.  She greeted me at the door, dishes out my feast.  She cooked up her dinner - some roasted spicy chicken with some slaw.  Tasty and quick.

Mum has the whole weekend off from work - yippee.

Finally Friday

Hi friends we finally got a photo posted.  Mums shifts are over, and she has the weekend off but has to go to a 'study day' tomorrow.   For 5 hours unpaid.  Oh well.

So our fun Friday night is all about the chores.  Mum needs to hoover and tidy and wash her uniforms.   Yippee.   Luckily she has a pile of leftovers to eat.  Me - well I enjoyed my feast tonight as I was hungry.

We hope your Friday is going well with no dramas.  The news is filled with storms and earthquakes and the most boring of all - our upcoming elections.

Finally Friday

We are glad it is Friday today.  Mum had a short change, that means that she finished an afternoon shifts last night and then had to be back at work this morning.   She finished and then rushed home and took a shower and got ready to go out.

The evening was chilly so mum layered up and even took out her gloves to keep her hands warm.  Mum went to see a movie called The Party, it was OK, just a 3/ watch for her.   She was glad to get home and crank up the heater and warm up some soup and toast.  Now it is time for us girls to head to bed and keep warm.

Finally Friday

Even though it has only been a four day working week for mum, she is a bit bone tired.  That could be due to the two evening shifts followed by being on call last night and having to do a job at 2am.

So while mum was away at her 2nd amazing Adele concert I had to go to the cattery to have my teeth fixed.   The vet had been suggesting it for several years, but were weary due to my arrhythmia.  Finally they said we had no choice but to do it so booked me in for last week.

Mum says she is never starving me overnight again, I will have to to the vet early.  She took my foods away at 8pm the night before.  Well I was on top of her reminding her every 5 seconds that I was hungry.   Boy was she tired.

Because I had to be at the cattery after my surgery, I was well looked after.  So by the time mum picked me up she only had 2 antibiotics to give me.  They had thought I would need one tooth removed but in the end 4 went.  Mum has been pleased with me as I have been pleased to be home and quite settled.

Mum can't remember if she told you about the cat she saw a few weeks ago being walked round the city on a harness?  Well she got to meet that cat Beth and her mum at the vet clinic.  They were there as they are moving to Spain and Beth needed a Rabies shot.  She forgot to take a photo of them.

Anyway it is time for us wary girls to take ourselves off to bed.  Night Night everybuddy.

Finally Friday

Friday night is finally here and we are so happy, even though mum has to go to work on Saturday afternoon it still feels like the weekend.   There has been a slight chill in the air and we feel autumn is on the way.

Middle aged mum feels no need to head out on a Friday night and she was happy to come home and see me.  Dinner was made, a feast for me and she had a pork chop with new potatoes and green beans.  A pile of washing is on the line and now the dishes are about to be tackled.

Finally Friday

Finally Friday again.  It has been a bit of an odd one in the house of Q.  Mum was on call last night, and she went into work until 1.30am.  She got herself off to work at 2:30am and got another howl from me.  She went and got me and bought me onto her bed where after a bit of annoyed noises I did settle down under her covers and go to sleep.  She was surprised when the phone went off again this morning, and went back to work, finishing just after 7.30am.  The bonus of the two call ins was that she did not have to return to work at all today, and although her intention was to stay up and be productive after breakfast and reading her book, she thought she would get a little sleep, and dozed a few hours of the day away.

So tonight has been quiet.  The rain has returned and mum has to work in the morning again, so we just pottered round.  Mum did some washing and dished me up my dinner.  She is trying to avoid the news, it is all a bit depressing and winding mum up so she did a few Sudoku and then watched a couple of episodes of early Seinfeld.  In some ways it is so dated and then so hard to believe it was 25 years old.

Finally Friday

It is finally Friday and mum and I got to relax today with the beginning of a little staycation.  Us girls got a sleep in and mum just relaxed today spending time with me.  Of course she could not get a long sleep in as I got a bit worried that she was not getting up in time this morning and meowed and meowed at her til she got out of bed.  I am good like that.

She went for a nap this afternoon and I also came in to remind her that it was my dinner time and she better not forget.  So tea is done and I am back to napping again.

I hope you had a good Friday and are ready for the weekend.  It is a public holiday here on Monday, so we are lucky to have a few days off and chill out.

Finally Friday

It is finally Friday - it was a long day at work for mum today.  She is glad it was over and best of all the sun and warmth were back, at least for a few days.  Mum went for a walk after work, and popped into the supermarket.  Dinner for her was super easy and I enjoyed a feast and took myself off to bed at 7pm.  So us girls relaxed tonight, which is good as mum starts being on call at 10pm til 8am tomorrow.  She hopes she gets some sleep tonight - fingers and paws crossed.

Friday night is finally here.  Time for the mumster to pop the uniform in the washing machine and get busy doing some chores.  She has to work over the weekend, so it is always good to get some jobs out of the way.  Also in the winter it takes several days for her uniform to dry out and be ready for next weeks work.

Dinner was easy.  I didn't even get a feast for my dinner.  Mum tried me on a new brand, and I gobbled it up which is unusual for me.  Mum knows though not to count her chickens, as she may try it again tomorrow and I might turn my nose up at it.  She enjoyed her dinner too.  Something easy, just some parmesan/basil/herb oven fries with some sour cream.  Then she had some kiwifruit - mmm tasty she said.

Finally Friday

We are glad that Friday has finally come to our town today.  Mums sleep has not been great this week, averaging only about five hours or so sleep each night when either her alarm or her bladder wakes her up to get up.  This morning she was glad to be up at sunrise, as the sky was a beautiful coral and pink colour, Signs that the clouds and rain would arrive later in the day.

Her work day went well, and she was pleased as she left work, that miss Belle texted, and mum asked her if she wanted to come round for dinner.  So the girls had chicken and chips and salad for their dinner with little cheesecakes for pudding.  Miss Belle and mum had a good laugh, and then miss Belle headed off to visit first the supermarket and then her friends.

So I had my feast early and hid under the deck for most of Miss Belles visit, but came in half way through to sniff her shoes.  As she will be round lots more, mum hopes I will remember her more and be a bit more social, but she knows that I am a shy girl.

So some of the chores have been done and mum is feeling tired, and looking forward to hopefully getting a better nights sleep tonight.  Hope you all do too.

Finally Friday

Boy - are we glad it is finally Friday.  Mum says this feels like it has been a long long fortnight.  She has to work this afternoon and then the weekend will begin at midnight.  She got home real late last night, and thought we had already done a post for Thursday.  So sorry we forgot.

This morning mum was up early to head to her hairdresser.  Her hairdresser has moved salons, and the salon is now only a five minute walk away which is good.  So mum has the greys covered up and the ends chopped off, so she feels fresh.  The colour is a bit darker for the winter which mum likes.

We had the doors and windows open for a while, but is is a bit chilly so the heat pump is on now for a little bit before mum heads off to work.  She doesn't leave any heating on while she is at work,, but I have lots of cosy spots to curl up in to keep warm til mum gets back.

Finally Friday

Yippeee it's finally Friday.  Mum has had a long day at work, so is glad to get home and put her tootsies up.  Nice people to work with, but just busy and she now has sore feet.  She did a bit of packing and a bit of the washing.  Dinner was using up the frozen foods in the freezer - fish and hash browns with peas and corn.  A bit of kiwifruit for her supper.  A fancy feast for me.

The temperature has dropped a few degrees, so I will be able to snuggle with her tonight.  She awoke this morning, with me snuggled between her knees snoring deeply.

It is Finally Friday here, and although we are winding down, the mumster has to do some work over the weekend, which is ok as I have napping to do.  Hope you all have plans to do something fun and a little bit of relaxing time too.

It's Friday night finally, and mum sure is pleased to be home.  Work was busy, so she finished late and got the groceries.  Now after dishing out my feast, the washing machine is going, and mum sure glad that she has two days to enjoy it with me and doesn't have to work yeeha.

Mum has plans to get some chores done, and catch up with some friends over the weekend.  A bit more weeding will be good, and before you know it, it will be time for another week to start.  So, we are off to enjoy ourselves!!

You can see that my lovely eyes are looking good.  So are those weeds.  Better send mum out with the gardening gloves tonight.

Mum had a good day at work today.  All of her patients were lovely, but she is glad to have the weekend off and to leave work in perfect sunshine.  Especially as she heard that a chap she knows at work, well he killed himself this week, and that made mum a bit sad.  She wishes that if wasn't the answer for so many good people, that they could have reached out, and that they could be sitting in the sun, enjoying a perfect evening.  Mum knows that life is short anyway, and it flies by in an instant.

So we are going to sit on the deck, mum will have a cool drink and toast her friend, and I will have my fancy feast.    We hope you all find something that makes you smile this weekend.

Finally Friday

It is finally Friday and mum has her last night shift tonight.  Last night I was sooo tired after being outside for the whole night the night before, that I crashed out on the bed.  When she got home at 8am I got out for breakfast then jumped back on mum as she went to bed.  I did wake her up at 12:30 to tell her something.  She got up, checked I had biscuits and then napped with her for another hour or two.

So - we are both sooo  looking forward to Caturday and the rest of the weekend.  How about you??
