Mum has been busy in the evenings this past week. These are ear savers - knitted bands that save your ears. She has to wear masks at work the whole day and mum finds her ears are sore, and she was getting tension headaches. So mum has knitted about 30 of these bands in the past week to give free to her colleagues. The ladies at the local sewing shop have laughed each time mum comes in for buttons. She had to have a night off tonight as she was tired, but has plans to make some more the rest of the week.

ReplyDeleteThose are great! Will your mum post the pattern? Is it garter or stocking stitch? The biped has wool on hand, would be interested in making some too!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a good idea. We have to wear masks on the ship in all inside places which I know is nothing to how long your mu ha to wear them. My ears were getting sore by the end of the holiday.

So I’ve not made any. Not only is you mum clever she is a very nice person to think of others as well

ReplyDeleteMum has one of those too, but since she doesn't go many places she doesn't have to wear a mask much. So for now she just hooks her mask over her ears when needed.
