Friday Fit Club

So mum bought lots of fruits and veg for her for the week, and has been eating better. More water than anything else to drink, she doesn't drink hot drinks or alcohol, so only the occasional lemonade or other fizzy drinks. Shes been making her own lunch and dinners all week, so she is feeling more balanced.
I have been only allowed half a fancy feast at night, and not so many biscuits. As it is getting cooler I am inside a bit more, so I need to cut back too.
We think we are going to have to extend our deadline - but nothing wrong with that.
Have a great weekend everybuddy.

Friday Fit Club

Well, mum says she isn't doing too well at the losing 10%. She did the shopping this morning though and got lots of fruits and veg, and is trying to keep the walking up while the weather is nice.
She is trying to also limit how much I have, with smaller portions although being on shift this week she feels she has to leave some for me in my bowl while she is gone over 8 hours. She thinks I am not looking quite as svelte as I was when I came back from fat camp over four weeks ago.
Best of luck for the week ahead - keep up the good work!!

Friday Fit Club

Now, we know we haven't done a Friday Fit Club post for a while. You know, coz of the move and all that stuff. As you know, I got sent to the fat farm for 6 weeks, and well - I came back half a kilo lighter. So that makes me almost at my goal weight. My vet will be happpppy we hope.

Now mum is trying to get motivated as she needs to keep up with the vegies and fruit, and keep moving more. Go mum - I know you can lose 10% too.

Friday Fit Club - Off to the Fat Farm

Well, by this time tomorrow I will be at the fat farm. Tonight is the last night to snuggle with my mum and sleep on my camping bed.

Big Uncle and Miss Belle arrived safely, and mum took them out to dinner to a sushi train, which was fun and very filling.

Tomorrow morning, they will come and pick us up and we will head off on our journey. We will try and take some photos and mum will post for me when she gets back.

So, have a good weekend everybuddy.

Friday Fit Club - How Your Trousers Doing?

It is time for Friday fit club - do you like the new poster we did? Mum did it instead of packing -she stayed up late and made it and is glad it is not a picture of her on it. She is sure I am looking slimmer already!
Mum says her trousers are too tight though, and after tomorrow, the movers will come and mum can get back on track. She has fallen off the salad wagon, but says from next week she will be back into it. She has bought some museli and yoghurt and will do better for breakfasts though. Small changes make all the difference, and it went on slowly, so slowly it has to come off.
Anyway, thanks we know some of our friends are on our Friday Fit Club team, we hope things are going well for you and you are coping with trying to make healthier choices.

Friday Fit Club

Staying home alone was good for me, mum was sure that I looked slimmer when she got home. She left me lots of biscuits and water, but no temptations. Hiding out in the garden is good too, as it keeps me active, looking for the perfect shady spot to laze the day away.

This week mum did her first weigh in - and she weighs too much, she wants to see the scale go down. She doesn't believe in diets as such, but is trying to eat healthier. She has been making lots of salads like this one, and eating more!! More you say, well more vegetables and fruit to fill you up. She doesn't eat much processed stuff or takeaways anyway, and is trying to not eat as much pasta, rice or bread.
Packing boxes, chucking out stuff and moving things around is her main focus at the moment, and that is keeping mum moving, and giving me lots of boxes to sit in. Eat less and move more is the trick we think!
***My vet said I had to lose 10% of my body weight by April, so mum is joining me in an effort to be healthier. We're not about the crazy or obsessive fad or diets, we're just making little changes slowly.

Friday Fit Club - And a Big Night Out

Because Gdad stayed and helped mum take a car load of stuff to the dump, she treated him to a dinner out, and then to go and see the Ukelele Ochestra of Great Britain. They were AWESOME, and both of them enjoyed the concert immensley.

Coz I have been camping outside while Gdad is here, Mum thinks it is helping with my fitness. I haven't been inside to the biscuit buffet as many times as usual, and there is lots of physical activity in avoiding peoples. Lots of running around.
Mum says she is busy over the weekend, and will catch up with everybuddy next week. We hope you all have a great weekend.

Friday Fit Club - Saturday Edition

We missed Friday Fit club yesterday, as we were so excited it was the weekend.

This week, mum has kept me on a mix of old biscuits and obesity ones, let me have the fancy feasts, and spent quite a bit of time playing with me. She is also trying to cut down on my secret snacks - temptations, now I am only allowed two at a time.

Mum has bought herself lots of fresh fruits and veg at the market. At work, she buys a ham/egg/salad sandwich on wholemeal/grain bread, and a piece of fruit and has cut out buying any biscuits or fruit juices. She fills her water bottle and drinks that all day.

** My vet told me I had to lose 0.5 kg by April, which is in six months time and is a 10% loss. So mum is joining me, and trying to make healthy choices too!!

Have a nice weekend everybody.

Friday Fit Club

My vet has told me I has to lose 10% of my body weight by April 2011, so mum has decided to join me.
This week our goal has been to move a bit more, and eat a bit less.
Poppy Q - Mum has dug out some of my tools including my piece of green ribbon, and is making more play time, she tries to chase me around the garden a few times a day too. I have also had a couple of meals of my obesity biscuits, but I still don't like them.
Mum Q - Mum has made plans to make her lunch for work each day, and is making an effort to buy more fruit and veg and less treats.
She is also trying to head out for more walks now the weather is better.
Gentle steps are the best way forward.

Friday Fit Club

Thanks for all the comments about my svelte figure, it sure was nice of you all. As you can see I am not Harry Houdini, I was trapped in my PTU.
However, the vet was just reminding me that I should be 5.5 kg, not 6 and we thought that 6 months to drop 10% was a good goal.
Mum says thanks to the mums who thought they might join in with her, too. She is too much of a lady to talk about her or anyones weight on here, but she has come up with a plan.
She has pulled out the scales and measured up. Every Friday will be time for Fit Club, and she will tell you if the scales have gone down, and pass on any tips or words of wisdom. The goal is to drop 10% by April. That's six months and totally doable.
So in honour of starting, she is going to head out into the sunshines and go for a walk!
Have a lovely weekend everybuddy!!
