Hairdresser

Tonight was mums night at the hairdressers.  That is her hairdresser in the pink top cutting another ladies hair.  Mum likes to go on a quiet night and avoid busy Saturdays at the salon, and luckily this salon is only a 5 minute walk from home and so mum can pop home and drop off her uniform and get changed.

Mum and one of her besties have been having a discussion about hairdressers.  You see in the past 10 years, if you are a lady and go to the hairdressers they think that part of the service is to give you a head massage while they rub the conditioner in.  She gets that is may stimulate the scalp and all that, but mum and her bestie find it slightly creepy and don't like it.  Yet, both girls have yet to get up the courage to ask their hairdressers not to do it.  Especially as it is often a junior that rinses their hair, and they don't want to offend them.

They do laugh at their anxiety about offending the hairdressers.  Yet, it is like some people not liking to have their feet touched or face touched.  So ladies and gents - what do your think?  Do you like the hair massage?  Yes or no?

(I understand - as a pussy cat I like most of my furs rubbed, except my tummy or round my trouser pants).

Lars

Mum had a steady day at work today, and was happy to leave just as the rain started.  She got home, shed her uniform and put her casual uniform on - jeans, ankle boots, long tshirt, wool cardi and scarf and then off to the hairdresser.  Luckily her salon is close, so she gets to have a wee break at home before her long appointment.  Mum told the hairdresser that she was not to use the scissors this time - just to hide the greys (say what?).  She listened much better than the last time mum went to her - lets just say that the stubble is still growing out.

After the colour was applied and then washed out, the apprentice was allowed to dry mums hair.  She was very serious and did a good job.  So good that mum looked very much like Lars - the 70s male model who takes his tanning seriously.  Mums hairdresser than came and gave mum some waves that would not have looked out of place on wonder woman.  Thank goodness mum only had a date with the couch after that, and can wash it out in the morning as it poured all the way home, and mum looks like a bit of a waif.

Sleep training is going well - mum is feeling a tad more rested, although she faces 3 nights of on call this weekend,  so having some sleep banked already may help her out.

Caturday

It's Caturday here at Chez Q - what have you got planned?

We had a little sleep in this morning.  Mum says that the flu medication gave her some uber crazy dreams.  She is glad that the flu is finally seeming to be leaving her although she still has a cough and blocked sinuses.  She had to go to the hairdresser today.  Her old hairdresser of six years Amy had left to go overseas, but she is pleased to report that her knew one Cushla did a fab job and mum feels like a rockstar with nice hair today.

Mum was sensible and thinking about budgetising  and bought some groceries instead of a takeaway for dinner, so that for the price of one burger she got to have two homemade ones for dinner and two for tomorrows lunch.  She bought lots of little treats, and then she forgot to buy me any more biscuits.  Luckily there is lots of feast in the little cupboard.

Enjoy your Caturday my furriends.
