Chilling

 Mum had a dozen plans in her head for her day off, but a sleep in and watching tik toks was the most she managed in the morning.   She did go visit the library and get some dinner.  Omnicrom is looming, and the news tells us once it's in it spreads fast.  So mum is thinking of checking her supplies at the weekend and getting a few things.  She has stocked up on the feast and just ordered 2 more bags of biscuits for me.

New Tricks

 This old girl is not too old to learn new things.  I have decided to listen for mum, and uf she is up I now like to cry out at the door so she can let me in.  My cat door is still working,  I just like to get mum up and moving. 

Today

 Today mum went to the hospital to see a dear friend of her family.   He had been unwell for some time, and mum got to spend some time with him and his family.  She got to hold his hand and tell him how loved he was, and to thank him for being such a kind and supportive friend.  Not long after mum returned home she got the message that he had died peacefully with his daughter by his side.  

We also have a special memory of our friend.  He was kind enough to take mum to the cattery to pick me up when I was an Itty bitty kitty.  RIP John.

Scorcher

 It was a warm evening,  so when mum got home after her shift she sat outside and talked to me.  She told me that she got groceries for her and me, she took her 10,000 steps, she needed to get to bed by midnight tonight and read a chapter of her book before turning out the lights.  I told her I missed her, that she smelled of other places and u was ready for my feast.

Caturday

 Mum worked today with an early start.   Having to be at work by 7am means getting up before 6am and leaving by 6.20am.  She did not go to bed early enough last night.

So today on the way home she stopped off and got a burger.  Is 4pm too early for dinner?  Then she had a wee nap, shower and sat on the couch watching a classic   - Uncle Buck.  

We chatted about each other's days, brushed our hair and furs.  A good Caturday. 

Conversation

 After dinner I like my mum to come and have a little conversation with me.  I call out to her snd wait for her on my bag.  I like her to tell me about her day and give me a brush.  It helps mum unwind and gives us some catch up time.  Mum told me about going to the library on the way to work.  Her shift, and the nice butter chicken and rice she had for dinner, and how she went to the supermarket after work and finally got some rubbish bags.  Then I'm ready for a snooze.

Thursday

 Today was a bit busy for mum.  She got to have a day off and a little sleep in which was good, cos I woke mum up for a chat at 04.20am this morning.   She was thrilled.

We had to get a uber, and mum took to me on a day out.  To the VETS.  Actually just for a 10 minute visit for my arthritis injection.   The vet was pleased with me as my weight was the same as last time.  I got home and was not to angry and just wanted some cuddles.

Once I was settled,  mum went into town to meet friends and drink wine by the harbour.   She enjoyed the catch up, but was glad to get home to me.

Working

Mums late again and my tummies rumbling.  I'm ready for my midnight feast mum.
 

Late

 Mum got home at 11.25pm tonight after her shift.  I was waiting at the door meowing at her to let her know I was ready for me.  Mum figures I'll spend the next two hours telling her off.

Evening

 Mum tries to get us time to sit outside in the summer evenings and enjoy the light .  Do Hou know I have never sat on the chairs outside   I prefer to sit underneath. 

Passionfruit

 The passionfruit are popping out on the vines all green and large.  Such a tasty treat when they are ready.  Easy to grow, mum only waters the vines every couple of days during the summer and cts back the vines in winter.

Evening Sky

 We hear that many of our northern hemisphere friends are pretty cold at the moment.  We thought you might appreciate a glimpse of our evening sky at 8pm.  It is only 14deg C here and breezy.  It was cooler here today so mum didn't get the shorts on.  A day of just pottering around at home.

I'm taking it easy.  I sleep even more now, if that's possible .  Please forgive mum if there aren't too many pictures of me.  I don't feel up to many photo sessions now.

Full

 Mum was so impressed that tonight I ate 95% of my dinner tonight.  Usually I lick all the jelly/gravy off and go back later for a nibble, but usually only eat about 1/3 of a can of feast.  

So she's photographed the can, so that when she goes shopping she can buy more of this flavor.  This if course means that next time she dishes it up I'll turn my nose up at it. 

After days of hot sweaty weather today it was drizzling when mum went out for lunch.  The temperature dropped in the afternoon and mum has just put the heater on for me.  Tonight she'll actually be able to pull the covers up.

Company

 I came out to keep mum company tonight while she watered the garden.   It looks green but it us beginning to dry out.  Thankfully this evening is a bit cooler.  It was too hot for mum to sleep last night.  She tossed and turned and finally fell asleep at about 4am.  She even avoided a nap this afternoon so fingers crossed she will get some rest tonight.

  She does have a fan but it's crazy loud.  In reality it is only hot overnight for about 6 weeks over the summer.   Like every year mum is considering a Dyson hot/cool fan/heater.  Does anyone have one?  Worth the price?  

Cream

 Mum had some left over squirty cream and she thought I might like a try.  I took the tiniest of links and that was enough for me.  Mum has never had a cat like me before.   All of her other kitties liked ice cream, cream or yogurt.   Not this girl.

Heatwave

 Holy moly it was a hot round about 30 deg C here for us today, a but too warm for us.  Mum woke up early and got some groceries.   It was too hot for her to do much else, and mum did not go back outside until the late afternoon to read on the back porch.  We are grateful that our little house is cool inside.  So mum will just sleep with a light cover on tonight and I'll sleep in the spare room which is even cooler.  

2022

 Hello 2022 - we welcome another new year with sunshine and warmth here.  Mum and I relaxed.  She thinks she should be OK to go out tomorrow which is good as she needs some groceries and to stretch her legs.  She's glad to be having a little break with me.  I have had a couple of little snuggles with her.
