Doors

Just wanted to suggest, that if you are going to leave the house to go to work, you check your pockets and make sure you take your keys.  Specially if you is going to take your bag without the spare keys in it.  Then it better not rain, and your realise that the umbrella is in the house, and you can't get in.  Better hope you skinny enuf to fit through the cat door .

Luckily locksmith guys come with their special keys that can break into your house in three minutes.  Better not think about that - or the toast you'll have to eat all week, cos you used your grocery money to get into the house.  Just sayin.

P.S - mum had lots of energy last night, all gardening and cooking like a trendy blogger.  Tonight we are lazy ladies and she is having a cocktail on the couch, eating a banana muffin and I am reclining on her bed.

  1. Oh noes! You should probably have a few extra keys made! Perhaps leave one with a neighbor you trust or hide one somewhere in your yard or car?

You've earned a Lazy Ladies night for sure!

  3. My mom locked herself out of the house this summer. Luckily for her she only had to wait an hour or so in the garden before daddy came home.

  4. Good advice about locks and locking, Poppy Q. I'm sure you weren't referring to anyone specific...

  7. Awful to be locked out, isn't it? Our mum got locked out in her pajamas and bare feet when she was the only occupied house in a neighborhood still being constructed. Had to flag a construction worker to take her to the construction headquarters to call a locksmith.
Bad business all the way around.
There is a key buried in the garden now.

  10. My human says she would be having a cocktail too if she had been through the ordeal of locking herself out of the house in the rain. Maybe more than one cocktail.

  14. Yikes. I don't think our doors lock without using a key so my people can't get locked out unless they LOSE their keys...and they better not because I'll be inside waiting for FOOD...

  15. Uh, oh. Someone needs a very secret place to hide a key.
