Today is Waitangi Day in little New Zealand, a public holiday for us. However, it is often a day that is used by may to protest and it seems to mum that it should be about celebrating our wonderful country and lovely people. So after some overnight rain and a rather cool morning, the sun broke out at lunchtime and mum went and joined her lovely friends at their beachside home. She got to visit their young kittens, who have grown much bigger, whisper to the chickens and they dined outside in the late summer evening.
Mum then was able to come home this evening to feed me my feast and get the washing in. There is a chill in the air and mum has put another quilt on the bed, and turned the electric blanket on. She would not be surprised if I joined her tonight to keep warm.
Hope you have all had a great Friday too!!

ReplyDeleteAh, so I'm not the only one who put another quilt on the bed last night. Little round Megs spent the night snuggled under it. We hope you were both warm and cosy, and had a lovely sleep in this morning,
