Tonight mum was on the shift work again, so she dug out this old cute photo of me relaxing about five summers ago. After days of rain, it was hot and sunny today, and best of all the painters came and took half the scaffolding away - yippee!!
So after a 10:30 pm finish, mum wizzed off to the supermarket to buy some yummy buns for her lunch tomorrow and now will watch some reality tv to relax. She has to be back at work at 7.30am, and she always gets up 2 hours before a shift, so there won't be much sleeping tonight. Then she has to do on call tomorrow night. Luckily Friday is a holiday here, so she has three days to catch up. Also lucky being a lady of a certain age, that she doesn't need too much sleep anymore.
Me - I need plenty.

Oh, I imagine that my human is a teensy bit older than yours and she totally needs her sleep, Poppy! Trust me, you do NOT want to be around her when she hasn't had enough! I think yours is just used to the crazy hours of her job.
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely Poppy!x As ever!
ReplyDeleteOn my calender over here it says it's Waitangi Day

Have a fun day Friday! :).
What a sweet photo of you, Poppy. Get some sleep.
ReplyDeletePoppy, dear, did Mum take a photo of you watching clouds? Did you see a cloud that looked like a bird? Or another cat?
ReplyDeleteOur human needs more sleep and she's older than your mum, Poppy! :-)
ReplyDeleteHey, it's great half the scaffolding is gone; the painting must be nearing completion!
Our mom bean says she could never work shift work because she gets really cranky when she doesn't get enough sleep. We'll vouch for that, MOL
ReplyDeleteVery pretty picture!
