Caturday

Mum had some jobs to do today so was up early.  The landlord also wanted to do some work outside with a saw, so it was a good opportunity for mum to head out and leave me in charge.  Mum managed two purchases before her card got declined which was unusual.   Turns out the bank crashed, and so their was no more shopping  for mum.  No groceries and no treats.

Of course by the time mum came home, the bank was back in business.   However mum is a oncer - she can go out and stay out, but she seldom goes out again.  Tomorrow everything is closed, but mum has enough in the cupboards to keep us going.

  1. Poppy, we're sure you did a great job snoopervising the landlord's work.

Too bad about the bank system going down! Once in a while the debit/credit systems will go down, usually at peak busy times during the year (like Christmas). We're glad your mum has enough in the cupboards to keep you both going!

BTW, the biped also is a "oncer." She doesn't mind staying out for most of the day if necessary, but she does not like going out, coming back home and going out again, mostly because it's so time-consuming on transit.

Anyway, take care, both of you, and happy Easter!

  2. Beautiful Easter Sunshine, Poppy. Human techy stuff certainly can interfere with real life.
As long as you have lots of Feast at home, you're good to go.

  3. Enjoy the sunshine and whatever is in the cupboard. Thank goodness it isn't bare!

  4. Good job snoopervising your landlord, Poppy. We are sorry to hear about your mum having that issue with her bank/bankcard.

  5. I'm glad it was the bank and not your mum's card! I always try to pay with cash. That's usually still accepted everywhere. But I'm like your mum; I go out to do things and then, even if I've forgotten something, I won't bother going out again.
