Mum worked her 1st nightshift finishing late with an hour and a half overtime this morning. She then went go the supermarket and stocked up with lots of sugary treats. So midway through her breakfast at 8.30am, and thoughts of her bed, her phone went. The hairdressers had a cancelation and could she do a 2pm appointment?
So with 3 hours sleep mum went to her appointment, then came home and got another 3 hour sleep. She can't say she's feeling super awake tonight, but she has enough reserves to soldier on, into night two.
It seems like everything else in life that is becoming stretched, a hairdressers availability is a rare thing at the moment. This was a new girl, and mum is feeling a bit meh about the cut and the price, and may look for a new salon.
A bit of a disappointment to go for a hairstyle and not get exactly what your mum was hoping for. And it interfere with sleeping. Just as long as it doesn't interfere with your sleeping Poppy.
ReplyDeleteWe hope your mum gets more than 3 + 3 hours of sleep today, Poppy. We're sorry about the "meh" haircut. Yes, when you spend so much money at the salon, you want to feel great afterward!
ReplyDeleteI hope she finds one and doesn't loose anymore sleep! Wishing you both a sweet night. Lukas is in hospital.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds rough for your mum, Poppy. To think, she went with not enough sleep, and then wasn't so happy with the cut and price. :(
ReplyDeleteOh I sympathise with Mum dear Poppy. My hairdresser cancelled on me this week as she'd gone home sick, booked me for Friday ... rang again on Friday cos she was still sick & booked me with another girl for yesterday. Yesterday morning at 9 am that girl rang & cancelled as she'd gone down sick. Its like striking Gold managing to get a hair appointment lately. I think Mum should definately look for a new salon if she's not happy.
ReplyDeleteYour mum has a lot of strength. I couldn't do what she does. I'm tired with normal work-hours...
ReplyDeleteYeah, mum says if you don't like the hair cut, time to get a new person. No matter what it costs. A good cut is worth it.
