Today was a day of relaxation again. Mum had given herself a day off work to relax and remember her mum whose birthday was today. If the weather had been better mum was going to go out for lunch and buy some flowers, but the day was cold and drizzly again. She popped out for groceries and a library visit but was glad to come home, put the heater on and read her book.
We are due for a southerly spring storm mid week, which brings freezing overnight temperatures and possible snow. October is often like this a mix of summer beautiful days sandwiched between weeks of rain.
Mum can't wait for sandals and shorts weather.
We've put our sandals away Poppy. Wonderful memories for your mum about her mum.
ReplyDeleteSending good thoughts to you and Mum for this anniversary and the storm.
ReplyDeleteSandals and shorts? Those are going away for us. Time for long pants, long sleeves and closed toed shoes for mum.
ReplyDeleteHope you picked up some flowers. Coooold here too. Fire still going day and night
ReplyDeleteYour October sounds a bit like our October here in NE Ohio.
ReplyDeleteThe transitional months are always tough for planning.
