Evening

The skies were looking  lovely on mums walk home tonight,  and the lights were sparkling.  The calm before the stormy weather  that is due.  I was pleased  to see her, and got my feast within 20 seconds  of her coming in the door.  She has her priorities  right.

Mum had leftovers  for her dinner of roast  lamb with parsnips, carrots and sweet  potatoes.   She then made a 2nd dinner of rice, and  sweet and sour chicken so that she has some dinner  to take for her shift tomorrow  night, simple but tasty and piled up with lots if vegetables.

She then sat down to watch a program  about Toranga Zoo in Sydney.   Mum so enjoyed seeing the amazing animals, the rhinos, gorillas and albatross and beautiful  Sydney harbour again.  Now there is a program  about matching homeless dogs with new people,  which always makes mum a bit teary.

Evening

Mum came home to find me napping.

She saw a strange thing she has never seen before on the way to work.  it was the rubbish day and she saw about 20 sparrows pecking at a rubbish bag trying to break it open to get the contents.  She always thought it was cats or dogs who split open the bags, never considering that it might be birdies.

Mum is very tired this week  - and she has to find the energy to be on call the next few nights.  I will help her by napping for her - I'm good like that.

Evening

Evening folks!! Mum got out and fed the birdies after she got home from work.  The minute the sun goes down the heaters are on and curtains drawn.

I was a good girl today and am ready for my snoozing.

Evening

Mum is glad that we have made it through to Thursday.  She made a big pasta dish for dinner so there are a lot of leftovers.  She is on shift the next couple of nights and needs to take her dinner and snacks.

We have had a week of sunny hot weather which has been lovely.  The weather forecast ahead is the return of more rain which will be great for the gardens, so mum will rush to get the washing done tomorrow.  It has been lovely to have the windows open every evening  and fresh air blowing in.  Mum even got the birkenstocks out - so summer must be close.
