Arrival

The microwave arrived yesterday.   Boy it was heavy and the box was an awkward size.  Mum was glad that she got the courier to deliver it.  Now what to do with the old one ?  She'll have to organize a man with a van to take it to the dump.

  1. We hope this one meets your mum's needs, Poppy, and lasts a long time.

Yes, that's the trouble with having to get rid of stuff when you don't have a vehicle or know people with a truck. Good luck to her, we hope it won't cost too much (unlike here!!!).

  2. And so difficult to get rid of old appliances anywhere. Did you play in the giant
    box, Poppy?

  3. I'm pleased to read the new microwave has arrived Poppy. We recently had to buy a new dishwasher & they charged $100 extra to deliver it ... but I guess at least they took the old one away while they were here.

  4. Aren't you glad you don't need to worry about such things Poppy? I hope you and Mum enjoy the new one for many years.

  5. Try the Sustainability Trust in Wellington - while Mum will still have to get it there and there is a small fee they will arrange for the microwave to be recycled. N.B. what ever she does keep the flat glass "plate" from inside. Hope the new machine is everything Mum wanted.
