Three

Three days of having mum home.  I'm enjoying it and mum is loving having the alarm turned off.  She is thinking of getting up early tomorrow to head to the supermarket early.  We'll see if she manages that.  She better fo a shopping list tonight so that she keeps to the budget and has some tasty meals in the fridge.   Lockdown food at the supermarket has less specials and food prices are pretty steep at the moment.

  1. Nice to have your mum home Poppy. I had to pop into Tesco's yesterday for a non food item and was shocked that probably only 20% of customers were masked. It was my first trip to a supermarket since March 2020 and I couldn't wait to get out again. I think it was a big mistake to lift all restrictions and make mask wearing only advisory. Our part of the country had kept very low right through the pandemic and then restrictions were lifted and the festivals started, and now we are the highest in the country. Will people never learn?

  2. Hope your mum gets plenty of feast for you and can find herself some fresh fruit and veggies. And enjoy the time together. Be safe

  3. Retailers seem to like to take advantage of situations. Gasoline prices go up before long weekends and food prices go up during lock-down...
