Lockdown Sunday

Mum has enjoyed her Sunday lockdown.   She did wake up at 7.30am, but mucked about watching tiktoks and reading and didn't get up until 11am which was lovely.   I came in and sat on her several times before she got up.  She got uniforms and clothes washed, carpets hovered and windows washed before sitting down to episodes of mediocre TV.

Tonight after dinner She found the above picture on the NZ Police Twitter page.  Lockdown for us is ok, mum is still working as usual and can get to the supermarket easily.  She wishes she could go the garden center and library on her days off, and she fancies some pad Thai and a roti, but she knows how lucky we are to have full cupboards and a copy home.  She also likes being at home - me too!!

  1. Poppy, we humans do sometimes miss going to our favorite places only because they are off limits. We take him for granted when they're open for business and we just run in and run out when want. It's lovely that your mum as you at home with her during all this lockdown you can enjoy it together.

  7. It’s lucky you can still work. We are lucky like that as well
I feel for the many who cannot work and are struggling
We have had so many lockdowns and they have lasted so long I don’t think I remember a world when we would just be able to go out and about
