The mumster and I had a little lie in this morning which was lovely. The sun was shining so mum couldn't lay about too long. Dishes had to be done and then mum bought out the vacuum cleaner- so I was off.
Mum took off in the afternoon to meet a bestie. They had a wander and did a little shopping and a little eating.
So now she is home - I've had my feast and is it sad to say that she is ready for bed at 9.15pm? We hope you are having a lovely Caturday.

Casual Caturday
Last night was freezing here!! Luckily we had lots of quilts piled up on our bed and I had my merino blankie to snuggle on. I love it when mum lets me lie on her leather bag on the bed - however I am not allowed to scratch on it, cos that makes her unhappy.
When we woke up it was Caturday and the sun was shining, and it had warmed up quite a bit. Mum did some chores - exciting ones like dishes and doing the washing. Oh what a fun day!!! Actually though she turned some music on, and bopped around doing the jobs. Then she showered and got dressed and went out for a walk in the sunshine. She headed into town and wandered round some shops.
She had an hour or so to kill before meeting some friends for dinner, so went for a drink at a bar, which was ok as it was quiet there, and she didn't feel too odd sitting alone drinking her lemon lime and bitters. Dinner was lovely and nice to spend time with friends, then mum headed home to me. So I had my little feast and then took myself off to bed, waiting for her to turn in.
Hope you all had a nice Caturday too and did something fun.

Casual Caturday
Mum took this photo of the top of my head, my kissing spots just at the top of my ears. I tolerate the kisses, life is tough.
Mum and I had a little quiet day at home. Mum slept in til 7.30 am and then got up and watched a documentry about the queen and her 90th birthday. She loves the Queen and the Royal Family, The photos that have come out this week are just magic, especially the one of the Queen with her great grand children and the one with her corgis, even the one with her and Princess Anne. Oh and the one with her and Charles, William and little George.
She did think about going into town, but mum decided to have a quiet day at home. Dishes and washing were done, and then mum had a little nap. Then she went and met some friends at a friends house for a yummy dinner, where the girls did lots of talking and laughing. Friends are good.
Hope you all did something fun today.

Casual Caturday
The mumster and I did little to nothing today. We slept in, she did a few chores, read her book, watched some shows, even a game of tennis on the box. She ate, I ate and not a dollar was spent which mum said was good.
Tomorrow should be a bit busier and the forecast is for some sunshine, so mum plans to get out and about then.
Enjoy your Caturday.

Casual Caturday
Mum was all revved up last night to head to bed early, but the sleep wouldn't come so she tossed and turned and read her book til close to 3am before her eyes closed. She had somewhere to be this morning, and it was a rude awakening for her to be up at 8am, but she enjoyed the morning, having brunch with a bestie and going to see A Little Chaos at the cinema. By this time the rain was swirling, and so the girls enjoyed their day out.
Mum then went for a wee afternoon walk and a visit to the supermarket. So addictive when it is at the end of our street. She got a few treats for tomorrow - for Sunday is the Cricket world cup final Australia Vs New Zealand, and the first time ever that New Zealand has made it to the final. Twelve hours of fun!!! The game that is.
So the plan for Sunday is to stay home as the weather is meant to be dismal. Housework in the day time with a few breaks for food and book reading, the then we will camp out to watch the cricket.
She is feeling drowsy now as she resisted the urge to nap this afternoon, and I have already taken myself off to bed at 7pm, as the bedroom is quiet and peaceful for a few hours and my tummy is full after fancy feast dinner.
Enjoy your Caturday everybuddy.
PS - we saw the neighbour today, so he survived the big fight during the week, although the girlfriend is not around, so maybe she has been kicked out? They are both in their sixties, and should know better.

Casual Caturday
Hello Caturday Kitties!! Are you relaxing yet? I am - in fact I am lying on this quilt just about where mum took this picture. We were lazy this morning and idled in bed, til mum finally got up and showered and dressed. She got the washing on and ate a couple of hot cross buns for her breakfast.
The sun was fabulous today, so mum went out for a walk as she had her hair appointment at 1pm. She turned up 10 minutes early but was told her hairdresser wouldn't be ready til after 1 so mum walked around again, then returned to find out there was another half hour wait.. There is a MacDonalds next door, so mum went and had a drink and read the newspaper. The hairdresser was nice and mum got a free treatment for waiting patiently.
I waited patiently at home too for my fancy feast. It has been a lovely summers evening and mum was pleased to be able to have a quiet evening at home, getting little bits and bobs done.
Hope you all had some fun today and got to take it easy!!

Casual Caturday
It was casual caturday here at home. The mumster worked last night til 10:30pm and then did some overtime til after midnight. Coming home and winding down is tricky, so she hopped into bed just before 2am. Then work called at 4:45am and she was off to work again. She finished at 6am and felt wide awake so went to the supermarket and shopped sleepy. That meant she came home with lots of toiletries and treats she normally wouldn't buy.
Her intention then was to get on with the day. Plan A was to head off and get some jobs done out and about, but a big windy gale blew in during the day making it impossible to enjoy the outdoors, and as the morning went on mum realised that she would have to devote the afternoon to a nap. So plan B, of stay at home read and relax was chosen instead. So after napping was out of the way, us ladies had a quiet evening, and now mum has the work phone switched on again. Fingers crossed she gets a nights sleep, but hey it is Saturday night here - so who knows.
So hope you all got some sleeps, I'm pretty tuckered out here!!
Enjoy your Caturday everybuddy.

Casual Caturday

How you doing Caturday kitties? We spied this on a blog visit and thought it was a pretty good representation of what goes on around here.
Oh my gosh mum was glad that it is the weekend. By the time she got home last night she realised how tired she was, although she still didn't sleep till 2am - sigh. So the alarm clock got turned off and mum let her body clock wake her up at 8.30am. She then had a shower and did a few jobs round the house, and decided to avoid town and not spend money today. Although a pleasant phone call from a bestie enticed her into town.
Every year our town does a special two weeks of dining specials and every year mum and the besties have said they would go - and then they never get around to it. So tonight they ventured out to a student joint - The Southern Cross Pub to have their special lamb burger, which was ok but a bit boring and mum says only worth a 3/5. The funny thing was for a young person hangout there were two fiftieth birthday parties happening in different areas of the venue. As soon as mum and her friend sat down, the waitress plonked a large sign on the table to say that the table was reserved at 8:45pm, without a polite word spoken. Little did she know that two middle aged ladies on a Saturday night, in a noisy place full of mainly youngsters, could drink and dine super fast, they were seated at 6:45pm and heading for home by 8pm (for mum that is a late night out).
Me - well I did some relaxing at home, keeping the floof at an even level. Hope you all had a fun Caturday too.

Casual Caturday
We had a relaxing casual Caturday. I awoke mum at 8am, meowing at her really really loud. She knew I had biscuit and it wasn't wet outside, all the usual reasons for me being noisy. As soon as she popped out of bed, I popped in. That's right - I wanted her spot in the bed. Time for her to get up.
After doing some washing and folding, mum went to the library and to the market. She got, potatoes, kumara (sweet potato), corriander, spring onions, parsnip, swede, onions, carrots, tomatoes, and broccoli. Mum is going to make a roast lamb and vegetable dinner on Sunday night. Fried chicken + veg + rice another night, and a chicken curry later in the week.
Then mum went for a walk into town. She wandered around for an hour or two just window shopping, and then met a friend. Then they went out to another besties place for a yummy dinner with good company.
So I gotted my dinner real late again. Just to let you know, I did not get given a second dinner last night. Mum says one feast is enough for a girl. She is watching her shows, waiting for the sheets to dry and then will make the bed and head off to sleep.
We hope you all enjoy your Caturday too!!
