Happy Birthday to my mumster!!! I let her sleep in til 06.10am, when I woked her up to remind her to go to work. Of course she wasn't working today, so went back to sleep. She then got up and had mud cake for breakfast, cos it's her birthday. Her tummy was a bit upset though, she thinks because of the chicken curry she had for dinner last night. So she went back to bed to read for a while, as the day was stormy again with pounding rain and big winds.
Her phone went off, and a friend was at the airport and had her flight delayed due to the weather, so was wondering if she could take mum to lunch. So mum said yes, and then had a quick shower and got herself dressed. They had a lovely day out, even if the weather didn't agree they looked at lovely shops and had a tasty lunch (mum had fish and chips and a big salad). Her friend headed off to the airport again, and mum went to the library to get herself a good book to read.
She then went off and met with another bestie for a bit of shopping, which was fun even though mum didn't buy anything. They then met another friend for a tasty dinner, mum had asparagus risotto for her tea. Then home for cuddles with me!! What a day!! Mum feels so spoilt, her friends were very kind.
You do make me feel hungry Poppy!x

It sounds like it was a good birthday. I am just reading this now, on Momnday, so I'll wish your mum a happy belated birthday - which will be more belated because she probably won't read it until she gets back from holiday.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, I'm glad it was an enjoyable day for her.
